One of the nicest things about Dr. Herman is that he talks with you and lets you know what he is doing or going to do and then does it. There's nothing worse than waiting in chair with your mouth propped open and not knowing what's next. I've had a crown, cavities filled, my teeth cleaned and they were all successful

Dr. Herman has been my dentist for about thirty seven years. Over that time he and his staff have shown a careful concern for my dental health. I have referred Dr. Herman to friends and relatives and will do so in the future. Dr. Herman has always been cautious and conservative in treating me and my family. Over the years my family and I have seen Dr. Herman for an array of dental issues and have always been more than happy with the results. I have always been given a clear assessment of my condition and a suggested program for my treatment. I trust Dr. Herman with my dental health that that of my family. He has earned that trust.

About Hygienist: Dr. Herman's hygienists have always been excellent.

Dental Hygentist/cleaning was great, but I will have a hard time going back because they push unnecessary, costly procedures on their patients. A year ago I went for a check-up and was recommended to have two fillings replaced with inlays that cost $500 a piece (50% covered by insurance). I had a friend who is a dentist tell me it was unnecessary. I canceled the follow-up. My more recent visit, I was told the same thing, two fillings replaced by inlays, but the tip-off was he was that one of the two he wanted to replace was not even the same as the untreated tooth he recommended the previous visit. Their billing practices also bother me as they send out statements regardless of insurance status - so I would receive bills for services that insurance was to cover, but it had just not processed yet. My next check-up will be elsewhere.

Dr. Herman sent me to a specialist to get a root canal when I did not need one. I have TMJ, and he should have been able to diagnose my jaw pain correctly being that my x-rays of my teeth were fine. I spent money going to see a specialist AND money on antibiotics for a tooth abcess that I never had!
