I was referred to see Dr. Reva Barewal at Fusion Dental Specialists for a crown by my general dentist. I scheduled an appointment two months out with the front desk Teresa because that as soon as I could get in. I asked for a pre-determination to be sent to insurance and Teresa really pushed back on the request. I called my insurance company and then said there was no way they could tell me my cost without a pre-determination. I called back Teresa and insisted on the $195 consultation fee be sent to my insurance company for a pre-determination (just for Dr. Barewal to take a look in my month). Teresa did get the pre-determination sent in (since I forced it) and found insurance would only pay for half of the consult bill. I think this is the business model to get you in and then hope insurance will pay but then your stuck. Also note that Dr. Barewal does not work with any insurance plans on their fee schedule so she charges what she wants and no negotiating.
In the end I went to see Dr. Brian Bray for $125 for the consult with no issues getting the pre-determination and insurance ended up paying 100%. I got world class service from Dr Bray and his staff. Then to make the story better Dr. Bray said I would be fine with just a fill

Had a front tooth replaced by an implant in her office and you cannot tell it is not real. I am smiling all the time now! Thanks to her and her staff.

They are crazy to charge $140 for a 15 minute follow visit. And they are an out of network provider.

I cannot say enough good things about my prosthodontist. She is passionate about her work and treats me with kindness and compassion when I am in her office. The office has the latest in technology for implant treatment and she sees so many patients with implant needs that her fees I found to be the lowest.
The staff was wonderful as well. Her husband is a periodontist and does implant surgeries in the same office, so I did not need to leave the office. The whole treatment was done in one place.
