this dentist is a nightmare! a cleaning took countless shots. was swollen for hours. his son, another dentist, was as rough as any construction worker. this doc definitely smiles a lot & sounds like he knows what he's doing until you go to another doc to verify the requirements. this man got it all wrong! wanted to charge more than 3xs for something that wasn't even needed. their bookkeeping & accounting records are so inaccurate, & his secretary... must be bi-polar. a real Jekyll & Hyde. do not waste yr time here. sorry is the least of what u'll feel!!!

My family and I have been going to Dr. Stenvall for the last 12 years or so. He is a terrific dentist and his office is warm and inviting too. I would not consider going to anyone else. He loves being a dentist and serving his patients and he makes you feel at ease in the chair and his staff is great. He has come in on holiday weekends for me when I had an accident and saved my front tooth. Old school service with new school technology and know-how. Best dentist around!

I am so pleased with Dr. Stenvall. My kids feel so comfortable with him and the same with me. He is always trying to safe money to his patients and the entire staff is so lovely. The office is always clean and he always have goodies for his patients. We love him and the staff. ;-)

The negative reviews on here don't seem like the same place. This doctor SAVED me a root canal and is on par with my world-class dentist back in Chicago, yet he's in Ledgewood, NJ. Don't let the location fool you, this doc and his staff are the BEST in the area. His technology is incredible. X-rays that don't hurt. Video of your teeth. Tracking progress of repair work with digital imaging. It's unreal that this is in LEDGEWOOD! No attitude, just a friendly, incredibly knowledgable dentist who's been nothing short of amazing. I've been to two other local dentist and found Dr. Stenvall to be nothing but a top-notch pro. Again, not sure the negative guy is the real deal. As a consumer psychologist, I know for a fact these things can sometimes be former employees or competitors looking to sabotage a successful practice. Long story short, this guy is the real deal. AND he's got a great staff.

About Front Desk: Very sweet and easy to deal with. Had a question about billing and they helped me get it all sorted out with my insurance company. Great experience.

About Hygienist: I HATE getting my teeth cleaned and this was over before I knew what happened. Friendly, efficient and THOROUGH. But most important, fast.

Dr. Stenvall is the best. He takes care of my entire family. You can't find a better dentist. His office is very high tech. His staff is very friendly too.

I didn't need implants or veneers.----I don't know who the 2 posters are talking about but not the Dr. Stenvall I know. My Dr. Stenvall is one of the best dentist's that I have ever had. Kind, patient, knowledgeable, gentle. I've never had a problem with any work he has done. He is conscious of insurance guidelines/requirements, Staff is wonderful as well. He came highly recommended to me and I would highly recommend him to others.

The most horrible dentist I have ever met. I am very surprised that such people are allowed to practice. He tried to make 5 fillings. I had to re-do all of them with another dentist. He tried to charge me $600 for his treatment. My insurance refuse to me and he went after me with collection agency. To add to insult, he refused to give me my medical and dental records. I had to re-do X-rays at another dentist.

About Hygienist: He does not have a hygenist. Does every thing by himself (very badly)

Horrible dentist. Smiles a lot, but can not do his job. I would not recommend anybody to visit him. He did my mouth clenaing, fillings, etc. My teeth were in pain after every visit until I changed the dentist. He always found ways to bill my insurnace for procedures that he did not do.
