He's checking to see if the implant can support a crown that fits my smile. The one he gave me doesn't
Says that he could only do a small crown because of yadayadayada. He never told me beforehand that implant teeth needed to be smaller than the teeth around it. I spent thousands of dollars for this crown, and it maybe fits someone else's mouth but not mine. I hope he can show this to the person he's checking with.
I'll take this away if he finds he can do this right.

I went to dental office with complaint of sensitivity. Doctor Kupferman asked dental assistant to take six x-rays. The Dental Assistant was rough during the process of preparation of x-rays. She was not careful while placing x-ray films in the oral cavity that resulted painful scratch and sore of oral mucosa on the upper left lingual side. In addition during the preparation for x-ray she dropped the x-ray film holder on the floor and attempted to use it and when asked to use another x-ray film holder became upset and irritated. After pointing it out, she eventually used another x-ray film holder. Moreover, when asked to be gentle while placing the x-ray film holder in the oral cavity, she dropped the x-ray film holder on me, stated that "she can't deal with this any more". Afterwords dentist came in the room and asked the dental assistant to leave, and did examination. He stated that he can't say much without an x-ray and offered to see another dentist.
I wanted to state that whole situation was handled in non-professional way by a dental office and regular dental visit turned out to be a waste of time.

I only went for a cleaning, x-rays and exam and was very pleased with everything. My teeth looked great and, after the exam, Dr. Kupferman gave me a comprehensive review of my dental situation (which confirmed what my old dentist in my old neighborhood had said - that is, no problems now, but will keep a watch on a few areas). I'm new to the Riverdale neighborhood and am happy that I have been able to find a good dentist.

Dr. Kupferman is an excellent dentist. Knowledgeable, and technically proficient, he is patient -- he will take his time explaining your options. Note that I wrote the cost was 'very expensive", but that's because he doesn't accept my dental insurance. I am fortunate to be able to pay out of pocket, even for some fairly complicated procedures. As a health care professional, I can tell you that there is no substitute for competence. Dr. Kupferman is a superb dentist. Period.

So far so good. I wanted a local dentist and found one a few blocks away. He has been excellent with fear & pain management and has been very accommodating.
About Hygienist: Kim. Very personable and gentle. Cleanings took average time and Kim did an excellent job with both the cleaning and with explaining what was going on.

From the moment you call to make your appointment, you are treated like family and are top priority. Dr. Sheldon is gentle and honest. A wonderful experience coming from someone who had a real phobia.
