Dr G recently mis-diagnosed jaw pain I had been having, even after 2 x-rays, and after I had explained to him what (obviously) the cause of the pain had been. Dr Gardner told me to simply wait for the pain to go away and the problem would resolve itself.
Unfortunately, after another month or so, the pain got so bad that I decided to get a second opinion: It turned out that my diagnosis of the problem had been correct and that this had led to an infection which, if I had waited any longer to fix, would have become quite serious. As it was, I wound up needing 2 teeth removed, rendering the left side of my mouth useless for chewing, as well as paying over $600 out of pocket to have the problem resolved. The dentist who removed my teeth confirmed that none of this would have been necassary if Dr Gardner had been competent.
About Hygienist: Dr Gardner's staff is rude, zombie-like, not even greeting me when I came into the office, even after making eye contact. I suggest that retirement is overdue.
