Dr. Engelson is far and away the best dentist I have ever met. When I first sought Dr. Engelson's services my teeth were in a terrible state. Years of poor dentistry left the majority of my teeth with multiple metal fillings and in grave danger of loosing some if not all of them. You would never know it to see me now. I have not lost a single tooth and my smile is beautiful. Crowns, laminates, state of the art technology and real expertise have transformed my dental health. Add to this a calm demeanor and a true understanding of my fear of dentists and pain, I really could not be more thankful. I recommend Dr. Engelson to everyone I know.

About Front Desk: Awesome! The fact that there has been minimal staff turnover in this practice says more about the quality of the team as a whole than I ever could. Always helpful, always on top of the insurance, always great appointment reminders.

I do not know Dr Engelston but I am very disappointed with the service. I am a new patient and I called for an appointment. I am a physician who knows the effects of radiation and wanted a cleaning, but no xrays. The receptionist said if you don't want x-rays, you can call another office. In a regular hospital, we would never radiate a patient without a just cause, and without a patient having symptoms. I do not understand why I cannot just come in for a cleaning. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Dr. Sandy Engelson has been the the best dentist I could ever imagine. I have had crowns, fillings, easy and difficult, fillings replaced, wisdom teeth out.. You name it! A member of her Dental team is always available very very quickly and the results are always been nothing less than stellar. She is a wonderful warm person and it has been a pleasure to have been one of her patients since she began her practice. I was very lucky to have been introduced to her. I have recommended her to many, many people and each of them have become patients and each have thanked me over and over again. I am very often out of town and I think nothing of traveling 2.5 hours to go into the city fotra dentist appointment!

I love Dr. Engelson and her entire staff. I saw a couple of other dentists, whom I didn't like, before finding her many years ago, and I would never go anywhere else -- she's kind, astute, clinically excellent, and gentle. A former coworker who was extremely fussy recommended her, and she was right. Dr. Engelson has taken great care of my teeth, never is unnecessarily invasive, explains everything, gives me options, and has great judgment.

About Hygienist: The hygienists are excellent -- they care about what they do, and my gums are in great shape because of them!

I went to see Dr. Engelson to have one very small cavity filled. I was told it would be a quick, simple procedure but it promptly turned into a nightmare when the filling fell out THREE TIMES within 7 months! The first time it fell out was less than a month after it was put in! It happened on a Sunday and even though I left messages on the "emergency" answering service making it very clear that I was in too much pain to eat or drink, no one returned my call for over 12hrs. The second time it fell out, no one could "squeeze me in" for 3 days. The third time I went to a different dentist who managed to fix it on the first try--and the same day--but of course that meant I had to pay all over again. Dr. Engelson and her office never successfully provided the service I paid for, but they tossed in pain and suffering for free. Clearly, a Park Avenue address doesn't guarantee quality.

My family and friends have been seeing Dr. Engelson for over twenty years. Some well known actors see her too. I've found her and her staff to be very kind and efficient. Dr. Engelson has given us good referrals to whatever other doctors we need as well in the oral health department. Besides being very smart and up to date on the latest research and skills she is kind and caring. Growing up I went to a dentist with large fingers, who didn't worry if we got cramps in our mouths from holding them open in one position too long, if cold air/water temperature hurt sensitive teeth/gums these are not concerns with Dr. Engelson. I find her prices to be very reasonable compared to her contemporaries especially considering her training and staff priveledges. Also for emergencies her office manager, Jeanette is always able to fit you in quickly. This is very important when you are in pain. I originally started going to her when I first moved to NYC, everyone from the publisher I worked for went to see her, and although we have all gone different directions, we've stuck with Dr. Engelson. The most important consideration I would take into account when choosing her is that she is compassionate. She is a very humane doctor, not easy to

Dr. Engelson is great. Never any pain. They help a lot with your insurance. I got a set of veneers done there, and they look great. Not too white, so they look real, but they do look fantastic. I'm afraid of dentists. If you're like me, go to Dr. Engelson.

I was more than pleased with Dr. Engelson's experienced workmanship and her ability to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. She always has a concern for me and my ability to pay her fees and always gives me all my options. I feel this is a fair way to handle things. I would recommend her to anyone even if they have to leave their own zip code...it is worth the trip!
