What do you call a dentist who doesn’t know how to perform implants properly, but attempts them anyway? What do you call a dentist who pockets your money and denies any responsibility for the damage she caused? Now I know to call her Dr. Gendel. I made the mistake of coming to her for an implant, which cost me a great deal of pain, time, and money. A few weeks after Dr. Gendel finished her work, I had a failed implant and an infection. I sought advice from other dentists, which made me realize that she skipped some critical steps (x-rays, CT scan, cleaning, follow ups, and more). When I reached out to her office, she told me to “wait for the implant to fall out”. I asked her to refund me the cost of treatment so I could use the money towards remediation… How did Dr. Gendel respond? No empathy, no show of concern, no offer to help… she said that she’s keeping all the payments and that I signed the consent form, which somehow means SHE TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING.

A few weeks after Dr. Gendel finished her work, I had a failed implant and an infection. In despair, I sought advice from other dentists, which made me realize that she skipped some critical steps (x-rays, CT scan, cleaning, follow ups, and possibly more). When I reached out to her office, she told me to “wait for the implant to fall out” and tried to treat the infection with antibiotics. Her story about my diagnosis and remediation kept changing each time things didn’t magically heal on their own. I asked her to refund me the cost of treatment so I could use the money towards remediation… How did Dr. Gendel respond? No empathy, no offer to help… she said that she’s keeping all the payments and that I signed the consent form, which somehow means SHE TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING.

I went to Dr. Gendel for years and spent about 12k. She rarely explained her treatment plan. Her crowns almost all failed. My mouth got worse instead of better. The last straw was when she eyeballed my tooth and told me that I needed an extraction with no ex-rays. I asked on several occasions for my x-rays and finally got them. I went to another dentist and was told that my mouth was a mess. The crowns that she made in her office almost all failed because they were not inserted beneath the gum line. I told her that I had been bulimic and she did not take this into account. I feel like I was just a cash cow to her.
I spent a fortune with no results other than to have to have another dentist remedy all of the quick fixes for which I paid dearly. I would sue if I could

Dr. Gendel has good office hours and a convenient office location. I believe she is a satisfactory dentist. I did have a few fillings replaced and had to go back a second time to fix a problem with one of the fillings.

I have visiting the office of Dr. Marina Gendel for almost 15 years. She is an excelent highly skilled professional, providing state of the art care. She is a pretty, warm, and wonderful woman. All dental works were painless, gentle, on time and kind. Dr. M. Gendel does outstanding service with excelent results. I recommend her without reservation.
