He will mess up your mouth and will line his pockets at your expense.

Dr. Kafko is very friendly, energetic and very personable. He makes you feel like an old friend. Good, efficient office. Been happy with my cleanings and dental work for many years.

I went to Dr. Kafko last year because I didn't have a dentist and he took our insurance at the time. I have never posted a negative review before in my life, but I was literally traumatized by this man. He informed me that I had cavities (my first ever) that I had to have filled. I told him I'm a terrible needlephobic, so he "tried" to give me a partial nerve block with fewer shots to drill them which didn't work. When I jerked in the chair from the excruciating pain when he started drilling, he didn't believe that I could feel it. His disbelief persisted despite the fact that my body was overtaken with tremors and I was crying uncontrollably. It was only when the nurse shouted, "Doctor! She's going into shock! " did he relent in his torture and said " I wasn't trying to hurt you!". He then had to do a full 4 shot nerve block to drill all over again. I locked myself in the bathroom for 15 minutes before regaining my composure to leave-- totally out of character for me. This morning I was informed by my wonderful new dentist Dr. Fred Grapel that he must redo the shotty fillings that Dr. Kafko did a year ago.

I had a great expereince with Dr. Kafko. He was gentle and spent a good deal of time over my procedure. Very warm and friendly. I needed a complicated extraction that required surgery and he called the next day to check on me. The office staff were very good too and put me through right away to a Dr. when I called afterwards complaining of swelling and pain. I would recommend him highly to any one looking for a quality dentist.

THE BEST DENTIST EVER!!!! Dr. Kafko was highly recommended to me from a friend. I am an terrible patient and from the minute I waked in the office I knew it was going to be a good experience. The entire staff is so nice and Dr. Kafko made me feel so at ease-he is amazing.
I would highly highly recommend Dr. Kafko to anyone. The first time I ever walked out of a dentists office laughing!!!

I am so upset with Dr Kafko. I trusted him and liked him and had been going there for years. I went in one day for a slightly chipped front tooth, not realising what it would entail to fix this. Without telling me in advance, he took off the front of the tooth and the back to put on a veneer. Didn't match the color, shape or length. When I smile in the mirror, I'm so sad. All that I can have fixed with a REAL cosmetic dentist (not one who fancies himself as one.) What really upsets me is that he took off some of my real tooth (which can never be replaced) without ANY advanced notice - only to make a mess.
I'm such a fool, when it broke I went back three times, each time for another mismatched colour, shape and length. I've finally learned my lesson. Don't make the same mistake.
I also found out later that the mouthguard he had made for me is likely to provoke more grinding/clenching, not less. I have now replaced it for a real mouthguard (hard, not soft.)
Very likable guy but bad dentist for cosmetic work.
