My daughter loves going to Dr. King. He's funny, kind and caring. We've been going for about two years now. He takes his time to explain everything that he's doing and we never feel rushed. The staff is friendly and efficient. My daughter always looks forward to her visits no matter what the procedure, even fillings. Overall, highly recommended. Carolyn Jamison

Stay away!! This dentist gave my 6-year old daughter 4 amalgam fillings in her permanent teeth - 9 years later I took her to the dentist at 72nd & Columbus who said "Where'd you get these? I haven't seen anyone put amalgam fillings in a kid's mouth in 20 years." We just had them removed and replaced with composite at age 15 - the teeth were totally black and rotten UNDERNEATH the fillings. Dr. King seems nice but is a terrible dentist!

Love Dr. King, he is funny and the people in his office are nice and efficient. My kids actually like going....plus the waiting room is fun movies etc.) he also gives a lot of info and does not press for medical intervention unless paramount. Great choice for children.

What a different experience than I had growing up. My kids love going to the dentist. And his rates are very reasonable for a Manhattan dentist!

I was looking for a dentist for my 13 yr old daughter, and a friend referred me to Dr. King, who is the dentist for both of her teenage children. I had some anxiety, as for a variety of reasons, we had been a couple of years 'in between' dentists - and I had many questions. Dr. King was wonderful! After examination and x-rays it was determined that my daughter needed two fillings, and one sealant... Dr. King and his entire staff put my daughter and myself completely at ease. My daughter was comfortable, and she experienced no pain whatsoever, either during the procedures or afterwards. Her teeth look, and feel, wonderful. Dr. King took the time to answer all of my questions, any questions my daughter had, and explained all thoroughly and patiently. And, his 'bedside manner' is terrific.... Even at the ripe old age of 13 - my daughter appreciates - and looks forward to the 'magic trick' that Dr. King throws in at the end of every session! I would highly reccomend Dr. King to anyone with children of any age.

My 4 year old son had several cavities filled by Dr. King's associate, Dr. Ioanna. Dr. Ioanna seemed very compassionate and efficient. However, three months later, one of my son's cavities had abcessed, and another one's filling had fallen out. When I took my son back to Dr. King's office, Dr. King was very flustered when my son whimpered, and recommended that I come back to Dr. Ioanna so that she could sedate him. Although he had an abcessed tooth, the earliest appointment they could give my son was SIX WEEKS later. I took my son to my own dentist, who immediately pulled the tooth, and gave him an antibiotic. My dentist was rather surprised that Dr. King had not even bothered to give him an antibiotic, and stated that the infection was rather severe. To address the filling that fell out, we have made an appointment for next week with another pedodentist. Moreover, the receptionist, Cathy is EXTREMELY RUDE. She actually told us that she had a business to run, and did not have time for our questions. Despite their child celebrity patients and nice office, I do not recommend this dentist. Obviously, the business aspect is of utmost importance to this office, rather than the welfare of children. Do not take your child.

The most amazing dentist ever. My 19 year old doesn't want to leave and go to an adult's dentist. The only problem I have encountered in 17 years of my children (3) being pateints of Dr. King is he smetimes hires nasty receptionists. The one who is there now is very nice. But Dr. King himself is amazing. Video games for kids in the waiting room and movies while being treated and a dentsit that does magic tricks. What more could a kid ask for?
