I will never go back to him again. The pain and suffering and unprofessional attitude were terrible.

My Experience: Dental Implants

Duration: He never finished the job and charged $1700. The worst dentist ever.

While I didn't see Dds. Jacob Kirsch personally, I did see the other Dds. who works for him. I had a very thorough and almost comfortable cleaning. I felt he was patient and answered any questions &/or concerns I had. He's conveniently located on the uws, near transit. It's been a year since I'd been in, but it looks like some cosmetics were done that enhanced the appearance.

About Front Desk: There's a couple of new girls in addition to Carmen, they seem friendly.

About Hygienist: Didn't see the Hygienist

My Experience: Cleaning

Duration: In & out in 1/2 hours :-)

Dear ladies. If being harassed and objectified on subway platforms and on sidewalks just isn't enough for you, you should go to this pathetic excuse for a medical office. Everyone else should stay away. After waiting for an hour, was brought back for x-rays with a male hygienist/x-ray tech. He was asking me a lot about my profession, setting up the x-rays, putting the vest on me etc. when he asked if I had a boyfriend. Startled, I replied yes, at which point he grabbed my hand and said, "You're just so fucking sexy." Panic/confusion took over and I mumbled something inaudible and got my hand back. He started repeating, "You know you are." He grabbed my hand a couple more times, asked how old I was, and REMINDED ME HE COULD LOOK AT MY FILE FOR ANY INFORMATION he needed. Needless to say, I didn't stay for the cleaning with Dr. Kirsch. I called the office the same day, though, and spoke with a receptionist. I explained what had happened and was given a brief, vague, and frankly bored sounding apology "that my experience wasn't good." The office manager, Angela, did call me back later that afternoon. She got me on the phone to speak with Dr. Kirsch who sounded HUGELY disingenuous/perplexed when talking to me about the incide

About Front Desk: Their ambivalence is impressive.

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: Sexual harassment combined with some blatently HIPAA-breaking threats concerning my personal info.

Did not meet him. Teeth cleaned by associate. I am older and have a lot of plaque at gumline. My teeth definitely need to be hand scaled. Prophyjet is not suitable for gumline work as the gums risk getting injured by the instrument's intense waterstream.

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: Didn't give name and didn't say much. Don't know if he was DDS or hygienist. Very rough. Nicked lower lip twice with polishing tool. Used prophyjet ineffectively on center of teeth. Did not remove plaque at gumline. Did no hand scaling of plaque. Teeth did not feel clean when cleaning was over.

I've had cleanings with Dr Kirsch, and my wife and kids go to him regularly. They like him. I'm a little less enthusiastic, as I've had some pain chewing on one side that he was unable to remedy.

My dental work was not done well and I was not satisfied by Dr. Jacob Kirsch. I do NOT recommend Dr. Jacob Kirsch. Also, waiting times are way too long.

I haven't dealt with Dr. Kirsch directly, but I did with Dr. Jeffrey Korman (same office) who did my cleaning. He spent the first 20 minutes polishing my teeth, then proceeded to the "cleaning." This involved digging deep into my gums without regard to my well-being. The pain was excruciating and I had to stop him. He toned it down and continued for a few more minutes. The cleaning lasted all of 15 minutes. It was the shortest cleaning I ever got that left me with painful gums for weeks (currently on my 2nd week and my gum is just starting to heal). Not to mention that he did a terrible job-- my teeth don't feel clean at all and my gums are still swollen (probably from plaque that was never removed properly). I called them and complained and they had me come in to have another doctor check it out, who (no surprise there) confirmed that he couldn't see anything wrong. Stay FAR away from this office.

Dr. Jacob Kirsch is a bad dentist. My root canal broke after only 2 months and the dentist refused to fix it for free. I mean, 2 months and he wants to charge me again? That's not fair. And, after asking around, I was over-charged the first time!
