I am writing this review because I am shocked and sad by the way Dr.Marc Schwartz treated me today. One year ago while I was in France, I had a great dentist and my last check up was perfect; I had no problems and no cavities. That check-up was 11 months ago! Now, one month ago, I go to see Dr.Schwartz for the first time for a general check-up. He took all of the necessary x-rays and tells me that I have about 2 or 3 big cavities to treat, most of them are old fillings to replace, and 3 or 4 little ones, which he is not even sure are cavities and he is not even sure he needs to treat them. At this point, I am really surprised that there is even one cavity to treat because I was fine a year ago and I am not feeling any pain. But he said 3 or 4 max on the top and 3 on the bottom. I told him that I am afraid of anesthesia, and he reassures me that if I come in early enough before the appointment time, he will first use local anesthesia and then inject just a little bit of product inside and then the rest so I won't feel anything. I am feeling nervous but I trust him. Because I have my baby to take care of which makes it very difficult for me to find time to have an appointment, I ask him if he thinks he can do the work in 2 sessions. He agrees because "these are really small things to do." Today, 3 weeks later, I arrive at his office 30 minutes prior to my appointment time. I remind him of the local anesthesia before the injection to which he says "of course." Two minutes later, he begins injecting the anesthesia at several places in my mouth without first giving me the local anesthesia! It is so painful and I feel as though I am going to cry; he does not seem to care at all as he does not ask me if I am okay. After finishing 3 cavities, he says that "only 1 was big, the other ones just nothing" but he preferred doing them to be safe in the future. Then he leaves me in the room saying that he will be back in a few minutes to do the last one. He was gone quite a while. When he returns, he tells me that he was in touch with my insurance and that "everything is fine" ( I didn't ask anything about my insurance; I did not care about my insurance at this moment as I just wanted to be done). He does the last filling on the top and starts working on one of my bottom teeth and tells me that he will do the filling next time. I don't understand why he is leaving it like that...once again he is supposed to be the expert and I am supposed to trust him. At this point, I feel very nervous and uncomfortable because he was not gentle at all during the procedure; I felt like he was rushing to finish with his day. Because I want to clarify, I ask, "so next time, we will do the 3 on the bottom and we're done?" He responds "no we still have about 7 to do." I say "why? you said that there were 7 in total, maximum and that you were not even sure that they were all cavities, that it could be stains from coffee..." He says (keep in mind he did all the X-rays at my first visit), "well, I am discovering things so it is going to be more work to do." What I think really happened is that he found out that my insurance was covering me really well and so that's why he decided to find 11 "necessary fillings" in my mouth at this time compared to the 7 he saw based on the previous appointment. Who knows if next time I will not hear "oh I think you really need a root canal on this tooth!" He didn't even say goodbye to me when he saw the look on my face after he told me how many more fillings he was planning to do. I am left shocked, and sad. I feel that he abused me. I will never trust this unethical dentist again in my life. I really do not recommend that you go to see him.

worst dental experience ever! I have always loved going to a dentist, but meeting with him kept me away for almost a year after such a bad experience. He acted like a big know-it-all, and belittled my questions forcing up-sells on me. everything he does is computerized, which in most service industries is great, but not in dentistry - I expect the dentist or hygenist to actually use a descaler and do some scraping on my teeth, not just take digital images and point a laser at it. It's the first time in my life when my teeth didn't feel cleaner after going to the dentist. The experience with the filling was even worse! I've never had a filling before, and he insisted I needed 12. I let him do 2 on the same tooth, and it was horrible!!! Not the process, but the shoddy job of a filling. He left excess filling all over my tooth. When I complained about the rough globs of it he told me that was normal and would wear down over time. That just seemed wrong to me, so I pressed further, and eventually got him to partially polish it. 9 months later, I went to a new, wonderful, dentist and she was appalled and instantly finished up cleaning off the horible filling - she confirmed he had chipped my tooth in several places too!

State of the art facility, X-ray taken within seconds, and customer service that makes feel like you are at friends home and not the dentist. All my appointments have been stress-free. Dr. Schwartz and his staff have taken care of all my needs: fillings, mouth guards, toothbrush recommendations, and even free toothpaste

I would really not recommend Dr. Schwartz. He claimed to take my insurance, but charged a very large fee on top of what he billed my insurance. In addition, the work that he did was really subpar. I got several fillings, and the way that he placed them left me with very large gaps in between my teeth. In addition, I have developed a cavity underneath one of the fillings that he did. I would go back to have him fix the placement of the fillings, but I'm worried that it would create more problems. His office is quite nice - it overlooks St. Patricks cathedral (one of the best views you can have, while sitting in a dentist chair). Also, his staff is lovely. But I am just concerned about Dr. Schwartz's talent.
