Dr. Skordeles is very friendly, warm, and kind. She worked with me in terms of my insurance, and was very personable. I did have a complicated case, in her defense, so this might not be in line with everyone's experience. But in terms of my actual treatment, things did not go so well. I had a tooth that was badly damaged, and although I appreciated that Dr. Skordeles recommended a conservative approach to the problem, it ended up meaning a lot of unncesssary time in the chair when I was really upfront that I was afraid of the dentist and had been traumatized in the past. When I went to other dentists and specialists for a second opinion (5 in total), they all immediately stated that the tooth was a lost cause, that it was far beyond what a general dentist could deal with, and that I should take a different approach (which, although not what I wanted to hear, would have saved me much time, money, and anxiety). I think she's a great dentist for everyday maintenance or cosmetic work, but I'd seek another opinion for complicated issues.

DR.SKORDELES IS THE MOST GENTLE DENTIST EVER!!! SHE IS GREAT WITH ANY PERSONS WITH HIGH ANGST ABOUT DENTISTRY, AND SHE IS INCREDIBLY SWEET. HER OFFICE IS RELAXING , THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS... I HAVE REFERRED SEVERAL PEOPLE TO DR. SKORDELES AND ALL WITH HIGH PRAISE FOR HER WORK. THIS DOCTOR IS ALL ABOUT PREVENTION AND SAVING YOUR TEETH. I DON'T HAVE ANY ISSUES ABOUT DENTISTRY NOW BECAUSE OF DR. SKORDELES. . I USED TO AVOID DENTAL WORK CAUSED BY EXTREME FEAR, AND NOW I RUN IN HER OFFICE READY FOR ANYTHING. SHE IS THE BEST IN HER FIELD AND A TRUE FIND FOR WIMPS LIKE ME..... MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY, YOU WILL BE SO GLAD YOU DID! CAROL IN NYC!
