I never had horrible experience in my life like this. I swear to god I literally burst out of that office after constant rudeness and brutality. First the help desk Russian lady was a bitch.. yes.bitch..absolute one!...no respect for anybody. She was even insulting the dentist in front of me who was completely subdued by her. I am not sure how they were tolerating her. Moreover, the dentist didn't even come and see me. It was just the assistant who started pushing the X-ray device in my mouth and upon expression of my discomfort, she started rolling eyes and making faces at me making me feel I was someone who is not willing to make an effort and follow instructions. I have never seen that outdated technology in any dentist office I have been so far, and I had no idea how to put in my mouth and bite it without feel of throwing up. She didn't show any patience and started pushing brutally and I ended up removing the upper skin of my mouth. I stopped her right there and left that place saying goodbye forever. I felt so relaxed coming out of that hell and it was best decision ever.

I have been a patient of Dr. Smith for the past several years. He is smart and knowledgeable; I’m quite satisfied and intend to remain with the practice. Costs are reasonable; I have no dental insurance but get a discount because of a feature of my medical plan. I don’t normally need advanced treatment, just routine cleaning and maintenance. See my evaluation of his hygienist, below.

About Hygienist: I always see the same hygienist, Mary Lou. She is skilled and friendly and takes time to answer questions and provide advice and instructions. I’ve been to dental practices where procedures are rushed, presumably to maximize revenues. That’s not the case here. Mary Lou and Dr. Smith take as much as an hour simply for a routine examination, cleaning, X-rays when necessary, and discussion of various issues.

Dr. Smith is skillful but woe unto you if he's not in a good mood. Once while he was fitting me for a cap and the mold material was in my mouth setting, he tried to engage me in a conversation and asked me questions! He once suggested that to achieve perfect occlusion in my mouth he would grind down all my teeth to make them level! I am NOT exaggerating here. This dentist does things his way and won't bother to listen if you feel discomfort with his procedure, as if he's offended by it. He gets angry if you want to see a specialist instead for a specialized dental operation and not have him do the procedure. One of his favorite comments is "a thousand assholes will give you a thousand opinions." Well, that's his opinion. See a sample of his dishonesty in the next section. It just got worse with this dentist so I happily left for a dentist who cares more.

About Hygienist: The most recent hygienist is the first one ever who actually caused some damage to my teeth by overly grinding on the enamel. Her grinding at it was aggressive. I now feel consistent pain in one of my teeth as a result, which occurred immediately after the cleaning. That tooth has become overly sensitive. Dr. Smith is the kind of dentist who likes to cover up his mistakes (on numerous occasions) and would call this result "not possible." It happened, Dr. Smith. On one occasion, he sent me to have my tooth pulled, then when that specialist fouled up and damaged the tooth in front of it, Dr. Smith denied that he created a hole in the tooth in front of the pulled one or that a cap would ever be needed there. Then one year later, he tells me that that tooth needs a cap!

Knowledgeable, thorough, honest, and skilled. I would recommend him to a family member.

About Hygienist: Excellent. Very pleasant and thorough.

Dr. Smith is an adequate dentist. He is personable and works very quickly. He replaced one of my crowns and indicated that several others needed to be replaced. The crown he replaced has been fine. It was unclear if the other crowns really needed replacing.

Dr. Adam Smith is a very knowledgeable, professional, and well educated man. He has a pleasant personality as well as all his staff. I trust Dr. Smith and I hope there wont be a reason to look for another dentist.

As a new transplant to New York, I was a little hesitant about going to a new dentist. Dr. Smith and his wonderful hygienist removed all of these fears. Amazing people, definitely making all of my appointments through them. I recommend him to all of my coworkers, too.

Dr. Smith has been my dentist for two decades and done a superb job working on my teeth, taking care of emergencies, creating bridges, thus solving problems. His approach is pragmatic, his demeanor most professional, and his interpersonal skills most commendable. I do recommend him without reservations.
