Several years ago I needed to have a tooth removed that was underneath a fixed bridge. The dentist I first went to said I needed a "surgical flap procedure" to remove the failed root canal tooth. They wanted to cut my gums, drill into my jaw bone, amputate the root and then sew my gums back together. I had had it before. It is EXTREMELY painful after the needles wear off. Dr Zeines said that was completely unnecessary and removed the tooth...from under the bridge without any gum cutting or bone drilling or even pain!!!! It was done within minutes and I went back to work immediately!
Yesterday I went to see him because another old root canal (that kind of always bothered me on and off for 12 years) finally started to hurt after the crown fell off while flossing. Again I worried that this would be another gum cutting and stitches experience because the crown had fallen off and there was very little tooth left.
It was out within 15 minutes and most of that time was with Dr Zeines being so patient while waiting for the needles to kick in and joking with me to put me at ease.
Another experience where I walked in with so much fear and dread only to leave surprisingly relieved and happy and grateful. Thank you Dr Zeines!!!!

After several negative experiences with dentists, having to report one to the state medical authority, I heard about Dr. Zeines. The promise of a "wholistic dentist" who doesn't insert mercury fillings but instead replaces them with non toxic materials was the first attraction. I travel an hour to his office and it's well worth the trip over inferior dentistry locally.
Not only Dr. Zeines but his entire staff contributes to the effectiveness of his office. Dental hygienist, Karen, has taught me how to brush resulting in minimal plaque build up (you'd think I'd have been taught this decades before by the dentists I patronized); Assistant Marva complements Dr. Zeines insights; office manager Donna expertly and congenially attends to the business end and moreover herself gave me an important tip on caring for my teeth.
Dr. Zeines books on health have been instructive. His attention to the tongue as a diagnostic tool should be used more and by the entire profession. When I need a specialist Dr. Zeines' colleagues, whom he refers patients to, have been valuable. Since working with him and his team my teeth are healthier than ever trumping a lifetime of prior non Zeines dentistry.

I went to him because I wanted a holistic dentist. I really like him but I had major problems with the work he's done for me- root canal and crown. Not sure whether to trust him or not

Fantastic dentist- he did 5 fillings that now 7 years later still the best fillings Ive ever had (my previous dentist wouldn't remove the mercury and Dr. Z did and in one visit). I disagree with the other reviews of this dentist.

I had a bridge and crown fitting by Dr. Zeines. His work was excellent-professional environment and his staff made me feel comfortable-that' hard to do in a dental office.

Worst dentist I've ever seen. Both the crown and inlay prepared by Dr. Zeines had to be redone by another dentist. And before I could see the other dentist, I was in a lot of pain. The temporary crown placed by Dr. Zeines was also poorly done and fell out the same day he put it on. To top it off, he nicked a healthy tooth next to the tooth he was preparing for a crown with the drill.

I've been a patient and tracked the carreer of Dr. Zeines for well over twenty years. And, while sampling other physicians along the way, found Victor Zeines to be the most informed, up to date and "with it" dentist in the field, not to mention an uncomprimised artist with his craft, always sensitive to the particular needs of a patient. Great atmosphere, staff, equipment, and followup assistance on the often complicated administative / insurance issues. A complete, friendly, intelligent, and truely wholistic conservative approach to contemporary dentistry. I found the prices generally fair & commence with the quality of the work received.
