Dr. Curran is great at performing dentistry, never had a single issue with his dental work. He seems to generally care, but he also talks down to people. The overall atmosphere is at the office is tense, very quiet and stuffy.

About Front Desk: One of the worst customer service experiences I have had. The receptionist is flat out rude, and I have always gotten a negative vibe from her. I missed a few appointments in my 30 yrs of going there, I'd say it's to be expected within a 30 yr span. But the last appt I made (and ever will make) was missed because I had to attend my Grandmother in law's funeral that died suddenly. They didn't give any reminder of my appointment so I completely forgot to call and tell them. When I called back they threatened to refuse treatment. My wife later called again to reschedule (this was her Grandma that just passed) and the receptionist decided to scold her for her involvement in my missed appointment. Talked down to her and made her cry, before she let up. We later cancelled all our future appts. I went to Dr. Crowley on N Bend Rd for my fist visit with any other dentist office in my life, and it was polar opposite of the atmosphere at Curran's office. Kind, friendly, and performed much more than I had scheduled, so I wouldn't have to come back for 6mths. I feel relieved to not have to deal with Dr Curran's office anymore.

About Hygienist: Hygienists were always good, but I got the feeling they feared Dr. Curran. In other words they were great when he wasn't around, when he was around they tended to share his impersonal demeanor.

Their scheduling is NOT patient friendly at all. Dr. Curran Refused to complete crown because I had to reschedule appointment twice due to work scheduling conflict. Had to wait over month for rescheduled appointments and then just received a letter stating I was dismissed as a patient...when I addressed doctor, begging him to finish my tooth since I don't even have a temporary crown,I was refused service. Very coldhearted, complete disregard for human compassion. He is a good dentist but full of himself and arrogant. Forget about turning business away, may be he can afford to do that...but refusing to help a patient in need? What kind of person does that?!

I called local endodontists when I moved into town to get a rec. for a general dentist. they all said Dr. Curran was the best. He's a great dentist. The front office staff could be friendlier, and it's very hard to get an appt with the hygentist, but Dr. Curran himself has wonderfull technique ( and is an adoptive father of many) They also have bankers hours 4 days a week, which makes it inconvenient. Luckily it's only twice/year. I moved away from town, or would continue to see him. My husband has lots of dental issues and he has helped him alot.

Dr. Curran has been our family dentist since we moved to Cincinnati about 15 years ago. He has always been very professional and dedicated to our dental needs. Roughly 10 years ago he applied veneers to my front teeth due to night grinding. They look great, very natural in size, shape and coloration. I have not had any problems with them since they were applied. Both my husband and I are still his patients and see him every 6 months as recommended. We have seen more than 1 hygienists over the years and have never had a complaint . The facilities are exceptionally clean, the front desk support is cheerful and helpful, and they are always on top of the insurance billing. I would highly recommend Dr. Curran for anyone who is looking for a new dentist.

Dr. Curran is a great family dentist who is not out to make a million dollars fixing teeth. My family loves him and his staff. My kids have had teeth pulled in addition to cleannings and they never complain about visiting the dentist. We have had other dentists over the years and their are none better than Dr. Curran.

Dr. Curran has been my family dentist for the last decade. He is an excellent choice for a family dentist because of his high degree of professionalism, character, and integrity. He'll treat your teeth and your children's teeth like his own, which the survey doesn't ask--so I have a high decree of faith in his opinion. He is very gentle and good with kids. The hygienists are similarly sweet. He is not inexpensive, but medium-high. They did help research my dental insurance plan when I switched jobs and were helpful at the front desk.
