Got a quote for inital exam and cleaning. When they called to confirm the appointment, I had to force them to quote the same price before I'd confirm my appointment (they tried to increase the quoted cost before the appointment).
Upon arrival at their office, I could see that this dentist was not willing to spend any money on their own facility. It was a run down office behind a pre-school with furniture that could not have been less than 30 years old. The building looked condemned.
I wanted to submit in writing my assertian to withhold my personal health information from third parties. They simply refused to adhere to my wishes even though their privacy policy states that patients are allowed to submit in writing their wish to forbid information sharing with third parties.
The dentist on duty, Lisa Johnson, and another staff member spent 10 minutes trying to coerce me into signing off on their free use of my personal information.
Needless to say, I refused to provide them any personal information without their adherence to my right to withhold that information from third parties (HIPAA). I can only assume that they are participating in "data mining" with other affiliates.
About Front Desk: The front desk is managed by the Wicked Witch of the West both in looks and in mannerism. Don't take my word for it, go see for yourself. A broom in her hand would make her complete.
