Dr Dinapoli/Dr Ryan was told by the Hygienist regarding my complaints of teeth/gum sensitivity, and as he stood behind me, where I couldn't even see his face (which is why I don’t know which dentist it actually was!) but he just told me to floss more! ha! Dr Dinapoli is elsewhere now tho, I think it’s only Dr Ryan there now since2009. Thank goodness I found a very educated & thorough dentist, who actually takes this vocation/ practice very seriously, as well as, enthusiastically AND has a terrific hygienist! I didn’t even know what to think on my 1st visit w/ this new dentist! A thorough initial exam was done by the DENTIST! Imagine that!

About Hygienist: The dental hygienist took very little & very poor care of my teeth, in my visits to this office. When I went to Dr Ryan/Dinapoli's office, all I saw was the Hygienist! She had a nice personality, but nothing beyond that... Ex: If there were any teeth/gum issues, which there were, in my case… FORGET IT! Count on losing your teeth in time! Change NOW! All they'd do was a routine cleaning and bitewings every 6 mnths, as long as the insurance covered it, and each time I complained of tooth/gum pain. However, the hygienist never even measured the spacing btwn teeth to check for gum disease or decaying, nor discuss gingivitis with me. Just gave me Sensodyne and off I went til the next time I was there and complained of teeth/gum pain. I didn’t even know what that measuring was all about til I went to my new Dentist. This Dental Hygienist actually measured the spacing btwn my teeth, which took time that was well spent, then did a deep cleaning procedure; since the measurements showed that Gingivitis" had already begun. I' m now being sent to a periodontist. If I had kept going to to Dr Ryan/Dinapoli's office, I'd have soon ended up losing bone & teeth & lots of money/time to treat it! Dr Ryan/Dinapoli's office girl that does the billing is also inefficient & w/ "Attitude"! Beware of treatment here coz unfortunately; their Dental Hygienist was TOTALLY WORTHLESS! This practice couldn’t care less regarding patient needs; they’re concerned only with getting bodies in there that have Dental Insurance!

Dr. Ryan is wonderful. He explained exactly what he was doing and made sure there was no pain or discomfort . More, importantly, the work was so technically good. This was an emergency root canal, I live in Chicago, and Dr. Ryan's temporary crown was superior to the permanent one my dentist eventually did.

Michelle, dentist assistant, is the absolute best. I am not afraid to go to the dentist any more. She is very mindful of the fear some people have about going to the dentist. She took her time, made sure that I was not uncomfortable, and just made going to the dentist a very good experience that I am no longer dreading. In fact, I went back to have a more extensive procedure done, the name of which sounded horrible. It even had to be done in 2 days. I went to both!!!! Also Dr. Ryan himself was very nice, understanding and explained everything in detail and answered all of my questions.
