Dr. Miller has been my dentist for years and is a fine general dentist. His staff is wonderful. After my last experience I cannot recommend him for more than basic work. He did the final step of a dental implant - an oral surgeon did the implant itself and Dr. Miller the crown. While he was putting the crown on I was in intense pain. Afterwords, I could not close my mouth except with great effort. Clearly my jaw was dislocated. I have been in pain ever since (5 months now). When I told him that I was in pain during the process and afterwards he discounted what I said, although he also said that he had to hold my jaw at an unusual angle to get the crown on. His not listening to my expressing the pain I was in is unsettling. And his causing what has become a chronic injury is a great concern. I have trouble chewing and pain daily. In his profession he should be aware of problems that can go wrong with the temporomandibular joint and realized that as he had held my jaw "at an unusual angle" and I then said I had a great deal of pain, he should have absolutely tuned in and investigated what could have gone wrong rather than discounting my comments and sending me on my way.
