I had seen Dr. Alder for many, many years. His staff was really nice and felt like family over the years. I had lots of gum line fillings due to receding gums and although the finish work was good (nice and smooth surfaces), they often fell out after a period of time. I've been seeing another dentist for the past 2 yrs. and now know that Dr. Alder's work was sub par. His office was dingy and never changed once in 15 yrs. No TV's, no headphones, no creature comforts whatsoever to help distract from an anxious experience. The final straw for me was when his office kept calling the day of an appt. and canceling saying the doctor was sick or some other excuse, and then pushing the appt. out weeks only to be canceled at the last minute again. After 4 times in 3 months, I'd had enough and fired them! I was so disappointed in the treatment and lack of respect I got after 15 yrs of being a loyal patient. The staff was always great though and always seemed sympathetic when they canceled appt.s. It was all Dr. Alder, I'm sure.

About Hygienist: Kimberly was great, but towards the end if Dr. Alder wasn't in she would cancel my appt. She had done many cleanings over the years with Dr. Alder absent from the office, so when those appt.s started being canceled as well it was too much.

Dr Mark is patient and compassionate if you are nervous he takes the time to put you at ease. He is an excellent family dentist!

I a have dental fobia... Mark took that all away and have been seeing him for years.. One of the best

I like Dr. Alder, but when I needed his services for a severe toothache I was put off for over a week. His staff says he doesn't do emergencies and recommended me to a chain for care. Furthermore, he is not a full service dentist who can offer extractions, root canals, etc. So, if you are looking for a dentist who can offer all services, Dr. Alder is not it.
