I went to Smiles NW for a standard cleaning and crown replacement 2014. I was told that since I had duel insurances my out of pocket would be covered on the special x-ray they were doing for a possibe implant that I was considering, and over 50% of the crown. Great! I went ahead and did the procedures, 2 years later I tecieved a bill from a collections company, saying I owed snw several hundred dollars. I called snw they daid that was correct and they had sent out billings to me. I had never recieved billings or phone calls about this they looked it up and an address had been entered into their computer incorrectly. They had never bothered to call either. I asked them about the charges. It was incorrect charges that should have been written off except supposedly 100.00 of the bill and they were going after me 2 years after the procedures were done. My insurance had changed shortly after I went to them, but I think my cleanings should have covered. They should have written the bill off after the had done some erroneous bookeeping as well as incompetently putting iny wrong address....funny the collection company they turned me over too found it no problem by looking me up probably in the white pages. NEVER WILL I GO BACK, NEVER WOULD RECCOMEND.

DR. MONTROSE IS THE BEST DENTIST IN OREGON - - 2010-11-10 I had a horrible tooth ache on Sunday October 31st. My wife phoned the answering service to see if Dr. Montrose could possibly see me. Keep in mind it was Halloween day but Dr. Montrose phoned us back right away and agreed to meet me at his office. He even adjusted his schedule to make sure I could Trick or Treat with my daughter. When I arrived at the office on Sunday, not only was Dr. Montrose there but so was his son Dr. Jeremy. They both worked on my tooth and got me out of pain until they could perform a root canal a couple of days later. I was blown away by the level of customer service and genuine care Dr. Montrose and Dr. Jeremy displayed. I relocated from Washington State with my family and was referred to Smiles Northwest by a friend and am so happy I found such a great dentist. The professional staff at Smiles Northwest has always impressed me , but Dr. Montrose and Dr. Jeremy's going above and beyond to take care of a patient has raised my satisfaction to the exceptional level. I have already shared my story with others and will continue to do so. Thanks . David

Montrose rocks! The whole family agrees (5 of us). Can be a bit spendy but the service and results are far better than other dentists. My kids recently moved from another dentist and Montrose found some long time ignored issues with them that the other dentist was saying nothing about.

I went to Alan Montrose to put on two front teeth crowns two years ago and it's been nightmare for me ever since. Soon after my teeth were prepped, they started to hurt very badly and ended up with root canal treatments. Even after the RCT and retreatments the teeth are still having residual pain. Another dentist told me that the crowns were inserted too deeply into the gum and that's why my gum was swollen. On top of that, the crowns were asthetically poor and I was going back and forth to him and to a dental lab. to have them fixed. He often rushed through appointments and was dismissal of any concerns and questions I had. At one appointment, he was humming and singing while working on me; that' s just some of the "professionalism" he demonstrated. Good luck if you seek dental care from him.
