Dr. Ortiz has been our family dentist (both for my husband and myself) in the past 13 years. He has treated or coordinated the treatment for our many dental works (root canal and implant and cavity fix). We are pleased with his professional skill and his staff. We usually can get in farily fast when unexpected problems arised. We are confident to recommend him.

Dr. Jesus has been my general dentist for 2 years now, I think, can't remember well. :) Anyway, I would recommend him to anybody if you're looking for a good and careful general dentist to prevent cavities, to do regular exams, or cleanning stuff. I like his staff much, too. They are all very friendly and nice. Also, Dr. Jesus is very gentle on treating a patient. He makes sure you don't feel any pain. He's also patient in talking with you about your concerns and give you his opinions or suggestions... Of course, if you're looking for life changing decisions, such as implant, cosmetic procedures, you'd better do some research and consult quite a few dentists.

I had a front top incisor replaced as a crown. Dr. Ortiz did not do an adequate job of matching the bite of the tooth with the matching lower incisor. The crown had to be recast and fitted a second time. The final result was only barely acceptable.

I was complaining of pain in my mouth near where my bridge was mounted. Dr Ortiz was not able to determine the source of the pain. A year later I found out what it was: The tooth had rotted underneath the bridge. Dr Ortiz missed the problem early in its progression and it cost me quite a bit of money later. It seem to me that he should have caught this problem on the bridge he himself designed Dr Ortiz also made me that same bridge some years earlier: Several teeth on this bridge chipped when it was very new. Since I have had no similar problems with the previous bridge or the one that replaced the one Dr Ortiz made, It seems quite obvious to me that Doctor Ortiz did not design the bridge correctly: porcelain on the chipped teeth was not strong enough! I would rate Dr Ortiz no better than mediocre. Do yourself a favor and go to someone else.
