Dr. Egger has been my dentist for many years -- even when I moved out of state, I made special trips back to Portland to get my teeth cleaned! He's a very good dentist and over the years he has ALWAYS had excellent hygenists on staff. I have recommended several friends to him and everyone has always been happy with the service.

I switched to Dr. Egger because I was unhappy with my previous dentist's manner and competency. I remember enjoying going to the dentist as a child, but now it increasingly seems that all the dentists are assembly line style, where they lay all the patients out in a row of chairs manned by hygienists and the dentist glances at you for barely a minute at the end. I was looking for more of an old fashioned dentist who actually spends time with his or her patients, and after asking a few questions of the very friendly receptionist on the phone, Dr. Egger seemed to fit the bill.
And sure enough, I'm not disappointed. The receptionist is very nice, the hygienists, when I have them, are friendly and thorough. Sometimes I don't even have a hygienist -- Dr. Egger cleans my teeth. Imagine a dentist actually cleaning your teeth!
Finally, I want to comment on the fairness of the prices. Unlike my last two dentists, there's no push to get things you don't need so they can milk your insurance companies. And now that I'm uninsured, the prices are reasonable enough that I can pay them out of pocket.
Dr. Egger is honest, friendly, and competent. What more could you ask for?

Dr. Egger is professional, cordial and efficient. His office is well-run and EVERYONE who works there is kind and friendly. I've observed the warmest of welcomes extended to everyone from kids to seniors. No one is pushing you to have expensive cosmetic treatments, either!

I love going to the dentist here because the people are so nice and Dr. Egger's takes good care of my teeth. No guilt trips, clean and comfy without too much high tech stuff, and they hand scale instead of using a machine to clean my teeth. The staff always get me in if I have a problem, I have never had a bill over my insurance co-pay, and Dr. Eggers and staff are eager to share any new Information on dental care.
