Fifteen years of good service for 7 family members. Very professional and focused on care, and customer service. The Dr. is serious and committed to care. Very skilled and lacks the condescending demeanor that is so prevalent among MD's and DD'S.
Support staff, hygienists and technicians are friendly, thorough, and respect both patient and Dr.
High reliance on x-rays. Lots of emphasis on prevention and strong encouragement of patient prevention; floss, etc. Efficient health insurance handling

Dr. Perkiomaki and his staff (including the front office)
are all EXTREMELY professional. I have never had
less than a good experience in the 8 years I've been
going there. Perkiomaki seems like a whiz - he probably
got a 4.0 in dental school. The office is in one of the ritziest parts of Portland, but their prices are reasonable (I have no dental insurance). A couple times, they didn't even charge me for xrays. The office is always immaculately clean
and they usually start the appointment early if you get there early.
If I had to point out one less-than-positive thing, it would be that some of the hygienists don't do as thorough a cleaning as others. A couple are *really* thorough while others don't seem to be. But they are all nice and are all genuinely concerned about your health.

I've lived in three states and had numerous dentists. Dr. Perkiomaki is the best dentist I have ever gone to.
