His assistant who helps with crowns bangs instruments on your teeth constantly; had to tell her to quit several times, but she's very spacy and doesn't pay attention. Also, temp crowns do not fit well and one even came off in the car right after I left. Only 3 weeks after my permanent crown was set, I decided to consult another dentist because it was very sensitive. Turns out I have a serious infection under the crown and now I need to have a root canal because of his shoddy work.

I got a root canal, post and crown done by Reed in 2002 for $1530.00. The crown fell off but fortunately I still had it and he glued it back on. This is my only root canal. He said it may be a while before the sensitivity go's away. In 2003 I went back because it was always aching. He ground the tooth surface down and said try that. I went back in 2004 with an abscess on the gum above the tooth he gave the root canal and crown.

Friendly, efficient, but overworked, so not as much careful attention as would hope to each procedure.

About Hygienist: Hygienists very good.

He filed all my back teeth down and now my front teeth are extremely painful (from now having to bite on front teeth). Now all my teeth are messed up and are painful. I am currently going to a great dentist who is in the process of fixing what this dentist has done (it is going to be alot of work and money to fix).

I used this dentist for a year and referred a few friends to him, one of which is a medical doctor. We have all left his practice over the last year. He completely screwed up a procedure on me and my friend, who is an MD. In addition to causing me three days of pain due to his not being able to give me a proper novacaine injection, he had to perforrm the same procedure twice as he was so busy berating his assistant that he did not properly seat my filling. Shortly after this happened, my MD friend has a experience very much the same. To add insult to injury, he tried to charge me four times what I was told the procedure would cost after I had already paid for the botched procedure. On top of all that, my current dentist has told me that the procedure he used was not necessary and the cost was four times what it should have been because he chose to use a much more expensive procedure. In short, I am not impressed.

Dr. Reed is wonderful! My entire family used to hate going to the dentist - now it is a pleasure! He is very personable and knowledgable and makes you feel comfortable during your visit. His office staff is very concientious about scheduling and working with you. They are all a delight to see each time we come to visit! They even remember your name without ever having to look it up on your chart! We have been seeing Dr. Reed for over 2 years now. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a change or who may be new to the area! Katie Kauffman
