Dr. Richard Ahlfeld is professional, competent, personable, patient, answers questions, trustworthy, calm, interacts excellently with young children (and everyone else), experienced, and caring.
Dr Ahlfeld treated our children from age three. Both children graduated from college in 2015. He's an excellent dentist. Our family highly recommends Dr. Richard Ahlfeld.
About Front Desk: The front desk staff is personable, helpful, caring and treats each other and customers like family. We've known most of the support staff for over fifteen years.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Ahlfeld for 9 years and absolutely loves him and his staff. Although he's in semi-retirement she says she wants to see him until he's fully retired - even if that means until she's 20. He and the staff are friendly, professional, and just plain welcoming and fun. We drive all the way from Castro Valley to see him on a Saturday twice a year and it's worth every minute and drop of gas.

We have been very happy with Dr. Ahlfeld for a number of years. My kids are now young adults and Dr. Ahlfeld has reduced his hours but we still attend the practice for routine dental care.

My kids love Dr. Ahlfeld. He's fun and the staff is so friendly to kids! I would recommend him wholeheartedly.

Dr.Ahlfeld is the best ever dentist I can find for my daughter. He is very helpfull and make all the procedures as easy as he can. He keep's kids laugh and they are not afraid of the dentist office.
He is very sensitive for pain control and keeps this at the full attention.
Our first visit was at that time then we didn't have any dental insurance. So, Dr. Ahlfeld was very friendly and help us to find the easiest way to cover our expenses.
Absolutely all the staff members is very friendly and help you to deal with your insurance company.

My son has been Dr. Ahfeld's patient for 3 years. Dr. Ahfeld is an outstanding Dentist and has a remarkable "bedside" manner with children. He is both attentive to them and answers their questions with reassurance and calm. He is a good soul as well as an excellent Doctor.

My daughter started going to Dr. Ahlfeld when she was quite little, 6 or so. She is now 11 and still loves going to the dentist. He is a very gentle and warm person, and also has a great sense of humour. The facilities are charming and the staff does everything to make going to the dentist a fun experience for kids. I wish I had had a dentist like him when I was a child.

We love Dr. Ahlfeld. He and his entire office staff are super kid-friendly, have years of experience and are thorough without being overly aggressive regarding outside recommendations for orthodonure, etc. My 19 yo still comes home from college to see her peduiatric dentist, and my four year old loves going to the dentist for check-ups and cleanings.
