1 review 5.0 star rating 4/1/2016 I waited a year and switched insurance to get into this practice, and I'm so glad I did. The staff is kind, punctual, professional, and highly skilled, and Dr. Dehnert, whom I see, has exceptional skill and goes beyond all expectations in caring for his patients, as my story illustrates. I saw John Dehnert to repair two root canals done a few years ago by another dentist in Maryland. I had developed a toothache, and when I came in, Dr. Dehnert said he had been looking at my records and felt almost certain there was an infection in these root canals, which he had put on his "watch list." His hypothesis was confirmed by x-rays. He answered all my questions about treatment completely, without rushing. When I came in for treatment, Dr. Dehnert said, a few minutes into it, that he thought he was seeing the top of a broken instrument in my root canal. This was shortly confirmed by X-ray. There was a long, thin, metal piece of a broken dental instrument embedded in my root; the previous dentist had not told me he had broken a tool and left part of it in my jaw! Dr. Dehnert said it was very difficult to remove a broken instrument under these conditions, but there was "one trick" he could try. He called

About Hygienist: My hygienist is Eva Reyersion, who has cleaned my teeth meticulously 4 times. She is gentle, thorough, polite, and explains what she is doing as she goes along. She also answers any questions and gives me pointers on keeping my teeth clean and healthy.

When I first went in to see Dr. Dehnert my teeth were in bad shape. I've had several crowns, fillings, and cleanings done over the past 5yrs. The quality of his work far exceeds any other dentist I've visited and I'm not embarrassed to smile anymore. Not only does he do great work, but I am also very impressed by his staff. ALL staff members are very nice and go above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable every time. In the waiting area they have a zen garden and a flat screen tv that is usually playing a dvd of deep water creatures (the jellyfish are my favorite). It's a very calming enviroment. The rooms have beautiful views w/ giant windows looking out toward the Santa Catalina mountains. Oh, and there is a treasure chest filled w/goodies for the little ones when you check out. The cost is pretty standard I think. They offer 10% off if you pay in cash. You will not be disapointed!

About Front Desk: When I have work done, they call the next day to make sure I'm doing okay. When I call to make appointments they recognize my voice and know who I am before I even tell them. hey seem to be very genuine in caring about each and every patient that walks through the door.

About Hygienist: I was worried that getting my cleaning would hurt since I have sensitive teeth. During my hygienist was very gentile and it didn't hurt a bit. She gave me tips on how to improve my dental hygiene and some free samples.

Chris the assistant was very nice and checked everything and explained all of what was going on as he worked. I needed a crown replaced and dr Dehnert was professional and put me at ease. The follow up appointment went real smooth everything was pain free. I would definitely recommend this dentist and office to my friends and family.

About Front Desk: The front office staff was Jamie and she was very professional and helpful. She explained everything with the insurance and billing process and what my balance would be. she scheduled my follow up appointments and cleaning.

About Hygienist: Diana is my hygienist and I would also recomend her to anyone also. she introduced herself was very general and I love the feel of my teeth after the cleaning.

I recommend this office to everyone. I am a patient of Dr. Dehnert's for over five years. Every time I visit I always have a pleasant experience. I hadn't been to the dentist in years, but on my first visit Dr. Dehnert explained my treatment thoroughly.I needed a lot of work. Now my wife went after not being to a dentist for over 40 years! He took care of her in a minimum of visits! She now has a beautiful smile. You can tell he's passionate about his job. The staff is awesome, and everyone is so friendly. I Dr. Dehnert and his staff does a great job.

Our entire family will not return to John dehnert's office. Aside from the fact that he loves to share his views on social behaviors and brag about his many trips and vacations he takes, that YOU as the customer is paying for, he turned his back on my wife who has had serious dental issues with other dentists in the past. After she went through a two month long ordeal of pain and suffering with another dentist we switched dentists and came to Dehnert Dental. John Dehnert is over the top on his practice but we figured at least he would be thorough, he is but to the extreme. However his serious downfall is bedside manner, it is deplorable. He 'fired" my wife from his care permanently because she was scared, he actually walked out on her after giving her a sedative and told her to leave and never come back. His behavior was unprofessional, immature, child like and unethical. Our family of six will never return and I would advise people considering trying Dehnert Dental to run the other way, he is a poor excuse for a caring dentist.

About Front Desk: They are okay but seem to change out often, maybe because John is hard to work for??

About Hygienist: Overly thorough and insists on more than two visits per year, most insurance plans dont cover this extrtravagence.

Couple of fillings, cleaning. Had a good dentist in Tempe but had to move. Very pleased to find another great dental ofice.

Dr. Dehnert is a very knowledgeable dentist keeping current with the latest practices and technology. I had 4 fillings with a potential root canal. There was no pain what so ever during the procedure and I have zero tooth sensitivity after the procedure. I am very impressed with his attention to detail and his charismatic manner while he was working on my teeth. I would recommend him to anyone who needs dental work and is afraid of the dentist. No stress or anxiety at all!

About Front Desk: The staff at Dehnert Dental was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I had been given the run around with Associated Dental and had to deal with the insurance company myself. At Dehnert Dental Tawnya took very good care of me, I never once had to deal with the insurance company and the amount on the estimate was the amount I had to pay. No hidden or extra fees and statements are the easiest most straight forward statements I have ever seen in my life.

About Hygienist: My hygienist was very good. She worked quickly and very effectively. I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was very nervous about having a deep cleaning done. But it was breeze to go through and made a ton of difference.

Beautiful state of the art, clean, organized office. Great dental care, beautiful work. Eva an Leslie are both great hygienists. Very knowledgable, helpful, and gentle yet thorough. Both dentists are very detail oriented. Know others that go here and are very pleased as well.
