Dr. Rothman treated both my children. My youngest was a micro-preemie and so potentially had a lot of tooth issues, and was also very fearful of medical procedures. For his first few appointments starting at about 15 months they just brushed his teeth with a toothbrush because he was scared of the equipment. They were great, he hires great staff, the office on Ocean is a bit cramped but the service is great. The kids never complained about going to the dentist. Highly recommended.

I've known this dentist for almost my whole life and he's great with kids and adults. They make it as painless as possible and fun too! I DEFINATELY reccomend him to everyone!

My 2.5-year-old had several fillings under general anesthesia by Dr. Rothman. He offers several different methods of sedation for extensive dental work including in-office sedation, nitrous, in-office general, or general at the hospital. Dr. Rothman was amazingly sweet, kind, gentle and reassuring to my son, and did excellent work on his teeth too. His staff is great; they keep my son entertained and relaxed when he comes in for regular cleanings as well. Dr. Rothman has two offices, both easy to find, and we are really glad to have found him because we feel very comfortable with the way he interacts with our son.

We have really done well by Dr. Rothman. My son John doesn't freak when he has to see him and in our family, that's pretty good. The staff is great, the doc is great, however, I think it's time to knock down a wall so we don't have to wait on the "teeth" in the hallway! :)

My son has always been apprehensive and scared of many things but he loves going to get his checkup with Dr. Rothman! Dr. Rothman and his staff put my son at ease from the very first visit when my son was 3 yrs. old. Because of such a great first visit and the impression it made on my son, he's very comfortable about going to the dentist and can't wait for his next checkup appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Rothman!

We love Dr. Rothman so much that we travel from Oakland for our three children, even if they have to miss half a day of school. He is personable, takes his time, and addresses each child as an individual. My son needed extensive fillings at 2 1/2, requiring anesthesia, and I would have trusted him to no one else. Professional and personal, I think that this positive experience for them when young is helping to inspire them to take good care of their teeth as adults. And it makes the experience of bringing them in for check-ups pleasant for me, which doesn't hurt either!

My daughter actually looks forward to going to the dentist! Dr. Rothman offers wonderful care, as does his staff. I also look forward to her visits with him, since he is great to talk with. I can't recommend him highly enough!
