I went in for an exam and cleaning, they did one filling and then I had an absess on a previous root canal, well I went in a couple weeks later to take care of that and he put in a temporary filling and then said for me to come back in a couple weeks for a filling. So I set that appointment up and then came in and they said "oh, you'really here to be fitted for a crown." When the dentist came in he said, "oh that's right, I didn't talk to you about that did I. We'll it's not a must, but it is recommended to get a crown." I told him that I needed to find out what that was going to cost out of pocket first. He said sure and had his assistant talk to me, she got on the computer and told me that it would be about 150. She said insurance would cover half and so it would cost 150. She said that a filling on it would probably cost about 60 to 80. Based on that I said sure. I told them that if it was gonna cost me 300 or 400 I would go for a filling, but if it would only cost 150 then I would go ahead and do the crown. Well I got the bill and they said I owe them $300 when I talked to them on the phone and related what happened all they had to say was that I am better off with a crown and they can set up payments for me. Very dishonest.

About Front Desk: Very inconsiderate. I don't care what the bill says and what they think is best for me, they don't have to pay my bills so for them to tell me that paying a big bill right now is what's best for me is just ignorant and rude. Telling me originally that I had a choice between this and that and quoting a price on each then charging me twice what they quoted me and telling me it's for my own good, again very dishonest.

I had a Molar extrtacted and the previous dentist in Colorado who did the extractions left a portion of the tooth in. I came back from a business trip and Dr. Hamilton did the greatest job removing the left over root on the molar at the sinus that within 12 hours the pain was very mimimal. I believe Dr. Sanford Hamilton has got to be the best dentist I have ever been to.

At first, I liked Hamilton, because his prices seemed reasonable, but now I would not go to him for any dental work, no matter how cheap his prices are! (You'll noticed I didn't put Dr. in front of his name, because he should not be called a doctor!) The 4 crowns that he has put in my mouth have had to be re-cemented several times, but that is not the worst of it! On my last appointment, I went to get one of my crowns re-cemented and I ended up leaving with NO GUMS left around my crown! Hamilton or his assistants didn't explain anything to me about what he was doing. I figured he was just re-cementing my crown back on, but it wasn't until the numbness wore off that I felt my gums weren't there anymore!! It was a real shock to me and it made me literally sick to my stomach! I bled a lot and was in a lot of pain! I called the dentist office, when I learned that my gums were missing and was only able to talk to the receptionist (of course). I let her know I was not happy. I asked her if my gums would grow back and she said, well no, but they will heal." I really feel that Hamilton does not care about the outcome of his patient's teeth (or gums) and he has definately caused me mental distress!!

He was our dentist for many years, in the beginning he was great and compassionate. We were on medicaid for part of it. After about 8 years, harder to get appointments and now here I am years later facing having every tooth he worked on removed. Two teeth injured in accident and having posts ended up flying across the room when I sneezed about a month ago. The only teeth I can keep now, he never touched. Towards the end of treatment with him, he would partial fix a tooth and tell me when I had money come back and he would finish. On Medicaid, you don't that that kind of money and so I lost most of my teeth to that sort of action.
