Dr. Sims is fantastic. I had another Dentist and every time I seemed to jump out of the chair at some point or another in pain. Dr. Sims was very concerned throughout the procedure about my comfort and I have never had any pain. I am extremely satisfied

Dr. Sims pulled a tooth which was not needed. He needs to retire

Dr. Sims, himself, is rather quiet and doesn't talk very much. The first time I went his dental assistant was a little rough, but since then I've been seeing the hygentist and she is very nice and much more gentle.

I had a very traumatic experience with Dr. Sims. He failed to realize I had an abscess (even after several visits and multiple x-rays). He randomly decided that my tooth had a crack & needed a crown. He tried to numb my tooth for the procedure, but he couldn't get it numbed. He pushed his needle right through my abscess while physically holding me down in his chair! I have a high tolerance for pain, but this was absolutely beyond excruciating. He left the room (with me trying frantically to regain my composure & stop crying) to look at the same x-ray he'd already viewed & returned to tell me he now realized I had an abscess! Somehow the diagnosis of a "crack" went away completely & now I would need a root canal! Every appt I ever had with him left my face looking like I'd been in a fight; all swollen & pulled from multiple injections. In stark contrast, the endodontist who did my root canal left my face looking as if I'd never even been in his office, & the tooth that Dr. Sims couldn't numb was perfectly numbed with one shot. His office is archaic & cramped. My head was bumped every time the assistant exited the room. His hygienist is horrible; she poked through my gum, never cleaned above my bridge, & yapped incessantly.

Pleasant staff and located on Front street make this a convenient place to get treatment. Dr. Simms is quiet so no excessive chatter - which is either good or bad depending on your point of view.
