I have been a patient of Dr Gurrad's for 13 years. I recently had my first cavities and felt quite disappointed with myself, but the team was validating and supportive. Dr. Gurrad and a Jennifer took time to adjust my bite so I wouldn't have sensitivity. I'll admit I hated the sound and smell of drilling, but with some head phones and humor, it all went well. I love that I can laugh with my mouth wide open and you can't tell I have fillings! Regarding cost, I was a little sticker shocked at first, but upon reviews of other dental prices and the quality, I am satisfied with my dental investment.

I've seen Dr. Gurrad since the early 90s and have come to realize he does not use the latest methods. I am currently spending $5,000 with an endodontist to redo his work - which was done badly - requiring 3 procedures, and then I'll need to see another dentist to redo the crown. If you need a root canal see someone who specializes in root canals. Dr. Gurrad is personable and his staff is very nice. If all you need is regular cleanings and a filling in a front tooth he's probably fine. As for me I'm never going back.

went for cleaning. did not have any issue with anything. Said I have cavity. Glad they found it and expected a filling. Doc wanted to do a crown which I thought was unnecessary for my cavity that I did not know I had one. Poor crown work and poor crown. Still giving problem after 2 years. Started from day one. Can't bite from that side. Went to clean my teeth but came out of pain and live with it everyday. When I called he said he wanted to do root canal. I went there with no problem so why root canal now. Did not offer to fix or replace my poor crown. All about money. should have done a fill and not crown.

About Hygienist: Was in training. Did poor job when she learned on my mouth as I was sitting there being a dummy for her. Don't go to this dentist.

Dr. Gurrad misdiagnosed my root canal! I was visiting Renton from out of state when I experienced the WORST pain in my mouth that I have ever had. I went to Dr. Gurrad because he had an opening and accepted my insurance. A hygienist took a digital xray of the tooth I indicated, and to Dr. Gurrad I described a DEEP throbbing pain in my tooth that seemed to RADIATE into my jaw and up to my ear, leaving my in tears and unable to sleep. He brushed it off as a misalighnment of teeth, ground down a ridge on the offending molar (#18) and assured me it was nothing that required a root canal (which I was positive it would). No antibiotics for the raging infection, he wasn't even willing to prescribe pain medication (he did when I specifically asked for it though). When I got back to my home state I saw my dentist 15 hours later and he immediately began prepping my tooth for the root canal that was desperately needed! I am currently seeking reimbursement for the "treatment" from Dr. Gurrad.

I've been seeing Dr. Gurrad for nearly twenty years. He has a good way with patients and he hires good hygenists and front office staff. They have a low employee turnover and they're nice people.

About Hygienist: Jean is kind and gentle. I don't let anyone else clean my teeth.

Dr. Gurrad's staff is very friendly and the hygenist is wonderful. They are high priced and the office is a bit outdated. Insurance will not cover what they charge. Be sure to get estimates up from before having ANY work done.

I had a filling done. I could feel the heat of the drill on my tooth if he persisted for too long. My tooth hurt for three weeks after the filling and I went back in to get the filling re-shaped. He refused. The dentist did not hear what I was saying to him. It's like my words were falling on deaf ears. As I was leaving the receptionist shoved a bill in my face because I had moved and it had apparently came back to the office with my new address on it. I paid the bill and left. I wasn't given a choice on what type of filling I wanted or could pay for. I ended up paying $160 out of my pocket for the resin based filling material.
