Dr. Adelman has been my dentist for 22 years and I hope he never retires- he also cares for my partner, and has for the 20 years we've been together. He's the best dentist we've ever had and an equally wonderful human being. He is thorough, down to earth, takes pride in his work, and we have the teeth to show for it. His office is simple, emaculate, and has parking. When I lived back East for 5 yrs during med school, I actually made sure that I saw him for routine work and 2 crowns when I came home to California for visits. His gold crowns were actually half the price of the dentists I called in Maine! And with no dental insurance at the time, that made the difference of several text books. I have sent many friends and clients to him for everything from broken teeth from cyling injuries, root canals, crowns, and routine work who have called to thank me for introducing him. He's the best. Catherine Frances, DO

About Hygienist: Dr Adelman does his own cleaning to make sure they are done to his satisfaction. Although he's gentle, in order to get teeth REALLY clean, sometimes there's some tender moments. Though in a half an hour, your teeth are sooo clean, they feel great. I wanted to come more that twice a year though he thinks Q6 months is plenty. Catherine Frances, DO

The reason I like Dr. Adelman is that my insurance has changed several times since I have been seeing him and he has taken all 3 types of insurance I have had. Prices seem about average and he is OK but not great as a dentist.

Down-to-earth. Reassuring. Straight-talking. Worked efficiently and quickly.

It is true "doctor" adelman does not use gloves when he treats his patients, the guy wears jeans and a sweatshirt instead of the white robe most dentists use. He looks like he comes to work on people's mouths after cleaning his garden. His service is horrendous. He also walked out during my cleaning to answer the phone! Very unprofessional. Don't go to this guy ever. My mouth still hurts from the cleaning he did. In addition the equipment he uses looks medieval. The rug has mold and his chair has rust. I thought I was in a freaking dumpster!

My child told me that he didn't use gloves one time during the appointment.

The most unprofesional denstist I have ever seen. He spent the duration of my cavity filling yelling at his admin. assistant about some bank charges he was trying to get waived. He actually left in the middle of my filling (I was in a very painful position) to yell at the bank over the phone about some charges. He paid little attention to me, was very painful, and quite rude. Stay away from Dr. Adelman.
