Dr. Arnold is very strong in his convictions to right the injustice teeth decay has done to your mouth. He will always help you find the best steps to get a healthy smile again. My Son also sees Dr. Happy Tooth AKA Dr. Arnold and he is truly great with kids! Even has a Comic book by DC comics about Dr. Happy Tooth! I would suggest this dentist to any Adult or Child who has a fear of dentist!

About Front Desk: The Front Desk staff is AMAZING and truly helpful. And they don't play when you don't give them 48 hours notice to cancel!! (Warning!) Sophy is always inviting with a smile when I enter the office and continues until I leave. She is the Glue to the front Desk staff! Ashley always makes me laugh even when my face is numb and feeling huge! And always makes waiting seem short with her conversation topics! Carshena Is new, but really sweet and helps me understand my insurance and always sounds like she wont hurt a fly.

Hygiene rating:

About Hygienist: I have seen both of the Hygienists, Dr. Silva and Leen! Both are a joy to see every 6 months for a good old teeth shining!

Can and will damage your fillings with ill fitting and this will change your bite and on top of that you will have permanent smelly breath because food will get lodged and rot even if you floss brush and use a water pic!!! Seems like allows you to swallow cement because he does not suction promptly.

About Front Desk: Rude and unprofessional. Plays games in a sly sneeky way. Will make fun of your issue while looking sincere. Acts like she owns the place and purposely gives and relays wrong information and tampers with your impression before it goes to the lab so that you will have problems and need to go back again and again and again and its supposed to be free but then sneaks in a charge.

About Hygienist: Stuck my gum with her sharp instrument and does not suck out the watery debris that you end up swallowing.

Hygiene time: 25

Dr. Arnold is the nicest guy. He is great at making you feel comfortable and "checking in" as he goes while doing fillings. He even massaged my jaw once as a long procedure was being done. He'll show you xrays and explain everything. I would give the rest of his staff a slightly lower rating. Billing was handled appropriately both when i've had insurance and paid out-of-pocket.

About Hygienist: hygienists there have been satisfactory.

I have severe dental phobia and anxiety, and Dr. Arnold has been great in working with me. So far I have had an exam, x-rays, cleaning, and filling, and all have been smooth, quick and pain-free. His office has nitrous, which is a plus for me. He is a very calm, gentle, and mellow dentist, with a soothing effect. The only negatives for me were no digital xrays, which I would like for the lower radiation, and the fact that the patient is not allowed to have a support person in the room with them (i.e., parent not able to accompany child). But all in all, would reccommend Dr. Arnold.

Dr Arnold's is a good dentist, but he does not spend much one-on-one time with his patients. His front desk staff are often busy and harried.

Dr. Arnold put in 1 filling for me. I had to return because the filling had a hole in it, but he repaired the hole quickly and for free. He is very friendly and discussed all my treatment options with me before I decided. Staff is very pleasant, friendly, and accomodating.

Worst dental experience ever... - on two separate occasions mine or my husband's appointment was never put in the book even though we had waited about two months to be seen. No accomodation made to fit us in when they realized the error. - my average visit lasts 2 1/2 hours even though all I require is a cleaning every 6 months. I wait about 30 minutes between each procedue (cleaning, x-ray, cancer screening, etc). - the office is unorganized and understaffed. Dr. Arnold is being asked questions regularly while he's seeing patients and he seems distracted. And he has discussed other patient's issues with his staff while treating me. Very unprofessional! - I have to sit and wait for my x-rays to be processed (30-40 minutes). They're not digital even though that's pretty common with other dentists now. - In my first meeting with Dr. Arnold he recommended I get braces for cosmetic reasons. My teeth are straight and I have always been complimented on them by dentists in the past. It made me feel like he was just trying to make a buck. I have never had a bad dental experience. I went to the same dentist for 9 years, but switched to Dr. Arnold when we moved to Berkeley. After 1 year we are finding someone else
