My entire family goes to Dr. Clopton. My parents moved here from Boston and are in their 80"s and feel very comfortable with Dr. Clopton's convivial chair side manner, excellent care and fair pricing. Dr. Clopton is also a sculptor and has a lot of attention to detail in the esthetics of his work.
He and his staff also speak Spanish.

I drive all the way over to Berkeley from San Francisco to go to Dr. Clopton because he was incredibly kind to my elderly mother and also because he made my brother's horrendous-looking teeth shine like veneers. He is thoughtful, courteous, intelligent, and trustworthy. Dr. Clopton will not overcharge you or order things you don't really need. He is by far one of the best dentists I've ever had.

Super nice guy. Very interesting, restores old boats and is an accomplished sculptor. He is extremely customer service oriented. My highest recomendation.

This guy does amazing work. I had broken a tooth and my, at that time, primary dentist was unable to schedule me for 3 weeks! Dr. C got me in the chair in a day. He did a fantastic job on the fix. He is now my primary care dentist and I make the drive from SF to see him.
Most recently he did my annual cleaning and I am more than pleased that my dentist did the work. I don't know how a dentist can get to know what's going on with your dental health when a hygenist does this work. This is the up-close and personal view of your mouth that a dentist really needs to do.
I cannot recommend him highly enough.

very helpful, upbeat and confidence-inspiring. dr clopton is my regular dentist for myself and my fiance. he explains about gum health in a caring, concerned way. he let me watch while he removed my wisdom tooth-awesome! he was quick and professional anmd i healed well.

My brother and I see Dr. Clopton. He saw me first as an emergency patient, and worked me quickly into his schedule. I have a congenital denal condition, and am not an easy patient to treat.
Really enjoy Dr. Clopton's maner--always willing to take time to discuss procedures and alternatives, very flexible in treatment and payment options, not trying to move a lot of patients through his office, extremely good about scheduling. Truely a patient-based practice.
Nothing flashy about the facilities (and this is probably the only negative thing I could say about the practice), but who really cares when the care is first rate? I think some people might be put off by what could be mistaken for nonchalance. This is not the case, as I have found Dr. to be very engaged, always candid, and I trust him entirely.
I don't know anything about his hygenist. However, the oral surgeon he works with, Dr. McDonald, is fantiastic, the best among the 3 I have used in my 26 years as a dental patient.
You will get personalized service here, and more acccess to the doctor than I have had at other offices, and I have seen a lot. Dr. has been flexible with scheduling my payments so that I can use my insurance to it's full benefit

He explains everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. He gets technical, draws pictures, shows diagrams....just so you know exactly what is going on, what he has to do, how he's going to do it, why it should work and what results to look for.
Good for emergency wisdom teeth extraction too!
