I am so dentist adverse; Dr Culver is the only Dentist I can tolerate ! He is very sensitive to my phobic level of procedures and takes his time to make sure I am pain free. This is a very caring individual that does great work. Our whole family uses him.

About Front Desk: Maria is the anchor of this friendly office; extremely helpful for scheduling; etc. Knows our entire family by name. The best we've encountered.

About Hygienist: Great cleaning specialist; again insures a pain free experience !

This dentist office is a rare find. Everyone from the front desk to Dr. Culver himself treat you with kindness. You are on a first name basis and most important,Dr. Culver will make your visit pain free. At least that has been my experience. Over the years I have had root canals, a bridge and at least 5 cavities filled and I look forward to coming here, it feels like family. The thoughtfulness of the staff, especially the dental hygienist are without compare. Maria, at he front desk is always accommodating and with a great sense of humor. I have never had a problem with insurance even though we changed a few times. They are very reasonable as well.

Overall, cost was very expensive. I needed to go back several times to fix minor filling replacements -- which I have never had to do before. The extra time required to go back was a major reason to go somewhere else. (parking is non-existent)

Recommended expensive treatment not needed. He insisted I needed a root canal and sent me to his friend, the specialist, who agreed. I got a second opinion and the other dentist told me I didn't need a root canal, and I didn't have an abcess. I went without treatment and the discomfort went away in a couple of weeks. I returned to Dr. Culver and he insisted that he and his friend could not have been wrong, that I still needed a root canal. I stopped going to Dr. Culver. That was 1993 and the tooth hasn't bothered me since. I sure am glad I got a second opinion. I believe Dr. Culver is an aggressive salesman of his services, and does not put his patients' needs first. Later, my family had similar experiences with Dr. Culver and all stopped going to him as well.

I was born with bad teeth. Deep crevices in my crows that started getting cavities before kindergarden. Three extractions before getting braces and all 4 wisdom teeth pulled with more shots of novocaine than I can remember. My dentist was a friend the family. The novocaine never seemed to kick in before they drilled... When I went to Dr Culver the first time I had 7 small cavities and no dental insurance. They allowed me some flexibility to pay. They told me I just had a hard time getting numb and would give me an extra shot and more time for it to take effect. I learned that nitrus oxide can be an excelent distraction and prevent me from feeling sore and broken afterwards. More importantly, Dr Culver and his whole staff have have been gentle, supportive, font sof knowlege and generally amazing. I've gotten a crown and had to replace some old fillings, and I've had some but not many new cavities. I no longer fear going to the dentist, even though I still get anxious in the chair.

Dr. Culver has been my dentist for the last 10 years and I regret that due to insurance changes, I will have to change dentists otherwise I would never change. Very good family practice if you have children.
