Amazing dentist that has the whole person considered when treating. He changed my jaw alignment after 30 years of TMJ stress--all naturally! So many successful stories of him treating many family members. Thank you, Dr. Hites!

I was referred to Dr. Hites by another Doctor. Dr. Hites was not cheap but took care of a low grade infection I had due to an oral surgery that had problems.

Dr. Hites is one of the rare wonderful dentist who treats the whole person for good function and dental health. He does excellent work and especially is able to balance the bite and jaw in a way no other dentist has taken the interest in. I had TMJ for over 25 years and now no problem!

If you're interested in removing silver or gold fillings from your mouth, Dr. Hites is great. He has the proper equipment to keep the pt (as well as his staff) safe from harmful particles caused by metals in the mouth. His office is very busy and he's usually booked up quite far in advance.

My first impression was very favorable. Overall Dr. Hites is a very good dentist and does care if you are comfortable. He repaired front teeth to look more beautiful than ever. Root canal procedure went surprisingly well and staff was reassuring. However, over time, TMJ troubles were never solved -was repeatedly sent for "x-rays". He wouldn't make a night guard for my TMJ and suggested over the counter ones which don't work well. Dr. Hites and his staff seem to tire of certain patients over time and say so within earshot. So I switched dentists and will continue to look for dentist right for me. But he is good as far as his expertise takes him.

Dr Hites does very careful work. He uses alternatives to mercury almalgam and equipment that removes mercury vapor to diminish the potential toxicity of the mercury vapors. He pays attention to the comfort of his patients and is very good at making potentially uncomfortable treatments pain free.

Dr. Hites is a wonderful dentist! He is the best. He replaced all of my original amalgum fillings, has done bite adgustment, veneers, gold crowns. I would recommend him to my friends.

I do not recommend this dentist to anyone. I am a student who a couple months ago needed to get a crown on a tooth. His office told me that I had to first step up a new patient appointment - so I did. The new patient appointment entailed him telling me that I needed to get a crown (as if I didn't know) and him making me feel bad for the fact that I had had a root canal at my age. He kept telling me that a root canal is one too many, that it can lead to cancer and all types of other diseases and a shorter lifespan. He had also told me that I needed to replace all my fillings - no ifs or buts. After the three minute appointment, I was charged $70. I was also told that the crown, which his office had quoted me at $800, would cost $300 more for me (I can't remember his reason but my new dentist can't think of one reason why my crown would cost more than the normal). I didn't go back to him, so I don't know how good he is at treating patients, but he definitely made me feel uncomfortable and was far from being considerate.
