Deaf patients beware! This dentist made the interpreter sit in the waiting room. An office staff member actually physically blocked her entrance to the surgery and recovery room. The deaf patient understood very little that was said to her and asked the interpreter later, but the interpreter couldn't tell her because she had been prevented from providing communication access. Dr. Wat may be a skilled surgeon but he was rude and indifferent. His "bed"side manner was abrasive.

Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Fantastic experience. Stephen was very great at explaining the pros and cons of having them removed and trying his best to inform me what would happen. Not really any pain, back to eating all foods. Glad I finally had them taken out.

Dr. Stephen Wat was wonderful, his father Dr. Norman Wat on the other hand was not. He was rude and condecending to me when my child was really scared. I needed to be there when they were starting my child's IV and I was calming her. He looks at one of the staff and says, "Did she get the rules?" The staff then leans toward me and says, "This is the part where you can't talk, because she needs to listen to the doctor." I was really put off, because he could have looked at me and told me in a nice way, but chose to go the route of not talking to me. Also I had to wait for my daughter to wake up and instead of them allowing me to come back or having one of the staff come out and let me know what was going on, I had to keep asking. I do not recommend this office and in the future will choose another Oral Surgeon despite this offices high recommendations from friends. NO second chances when you deal with rude people.

Dr. Wat was nothing short of wonderful! I had to pull three of my wisdom teeth, and my experience was quick, painless, and very comforting with the help of both Dr. Wat and his staff. He was extremely informative and compassionate. Needless to say, my recovery process was seamless and I would highly recommend Dr. Wat to anyone in need of a similar surgery.

Dr Wat and his staff were wonderful. Tremendously compassionate! I had gone to University Of The Pacific to have the rest of a tooth pulled, they the had begun to work on the week and was to be finished today. Upon arriving and preparing for the procedure the resident who had been treating came to the realization that I had a bleeding order and they would not be to extract the tooth without first get a platelet count. Which would have meant first finding a doctor and then a lab, all this came after a two hour drive, I was in pain and furious. The school finally referred me Dr Wat. He got me right and made a horrible experience not only pleasant, but mildly entertaining. He and his terrific staff have my heartfelt thanks.

Horrible experience! I had developed pain and swelling on the side of my face. During his examination, Dr. Wat was seriously apathetic to the pain he was causing me. He didn't feel he needed to discuss his procedure with me nor get my permission ahead of time. Without any topical anesthetic or novacaine, he manually punched a hole in the infection in my gum. The pain continued for minutes after this procedure and he offered no relief. I finally asked him to do something for my pain and he reluctantly told his assistant to put some topical numbing gel on it. Dr Wat was also rude to his very sweet assistant, even to the point of shoving her aside at one point. In addition, I had brought my exrays from my general dentist that were taken that day, yet Dr Wat insisted he needed to take a full mouth exray. He did not bother to check with me about the last time I had one. After arguing with him about the necessity of a full mouth exray, I reluctantly said okay if my insurance would pay for it. After takig the exrays, his staff checked with my insurance, and as the last time was just a year ago, my insurance would not cover it. Dr Wat is the most uncaring dentist I have even been to.

Dr. Wat has pulled my wisdom teeth, pulled 12 teeth on my son before his orthodontia (including 1 in the roof of his mouth), has done a successful bone implant where 1 wisdom tooth came in sideways, pulled my husbands wisdom teeth, Im sure there is more but I cant remember them all it has been so long. He is very professional, courteous and his decision making process is on the conservative side which is what I prefer. Cost wise he is in the middle. I usually am put out for procedures and have never had any issues when I come to. I would highly recommend him for any routine oral surgery. We have never had anything out of the norm so for our needs he rocks.

Awful, awful experience. So bad I've still been thinking of writing a formal complaint. First off, let me say his staff was excellent; tolerant and supportive. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed. I obviously expected some discomfort and pain and he did explain the chance of numbness occuring. After almost a year I still have continual numbness in the lower right portion of my face. I had to return 3 times for an incredibly painful debridement when one site was healing incorrectly. But all that aside, it was his manners I found completely inexcusable. He was extremely rude to his assistants; whispering and gesturing instructions to them behind my back, thinking I neither saw nor heard him but I did and it was plain rude and degrading. The asssistants were obviously embarrassed and tried to make light of it on occasion. His interaction with me was brief and to the point except when I expressed pain and then it was a barely covered intolerance. I work with surgeons everyday, have a very high pain tolerance, and am definitely not high maintainance so I was very disappointed to witness such behavior. The price? Who cares after all this. My insurance covered it without any problem so I expect it was reasonable.

he was very descriptive and told me exactly what was gonna happen. On friday he extracts 4 of my teeth and pulls down two permanet teeth that were growing in through the roof of my mouth through surgery. WE'll see how it goes.
