This is the best experience I've ever had at an oral surgeon ... and I've had two others before (one for root canal, the other for a wisdom tooth extraction). I was referred to Dr. Uyehara by a great dentist named Ernest Nagamatsu to extract a wisdom tooth because I have problems with anesthesia. Dr. Uyehara handles tough case apparently and was able to work with me. He was efficient and I had truly, very little pain ... they were very good about going over the post operative instructions both before and afterwards and even gave you a sheet of instructions to follow. They also made it known that they are always available for any questions and don't hesitate to call. This guy is a pro ... an artist. I am so very thankful that he was my oral surgeon. I highly, HIGHLY recommend him. Anita B.

Dr. Uyehara did a molar extraction then the implant for me. I shopped around from Santa Monica to Bellflower to Beverly Hills & he came out on top. I was shocked at just how well the implant went. I only took one pain pill before bed the evening of the implant surgery. Just amazingly pain free. He's a no BS doctor. Other dr.'s push the sedations...dr. U. did not & said if I was fine with the local on the extraction, I'd be fine with a local on the surgery. He was right & that's quite a nice little money savings. I did not feel a thing during the surgery. And there was no swelling or bruising after the surgery. I'm still amazed. So glad I chose dr. U. Will stay with him from now on as needed. Staff could use a "pep talk"...a little "cold" & unfriendly. No "warm fuzzies" when you walk in. In fact, you'll be the one to say "hello" when you walk in. Unfortunately this seems typical of staff in offices like this. But the dr. is the best.

Excellent chairside manner for a child. My 9-year-old son needed two extractions, and Dr. Uyehara's calm explanation, willingness to elicit/answer questions, and forthrightness made this experience much easier than I'd hoped. The pre-treatment visit and extraction were calm and pain-free. I really appreciate how kind and patient Dr. Uyehara was with my son.

I went to Dr. Uyehara based on the reviews on this website. He is a very cool dude! He says he has done over a thousand implants, and based upon his confident demeanor, I have no reason to doubt him. I found him to be very easy-going, gentle, knowledgable, and precise. I like precise! Highly recommended!!!

I was very happy with the procedure that Dr. Uyehara performed to extract 3 wisdom teeth. However, I was surprised to learn that they did not fully check with my insurance prior to the surgery. I found out after the fact that they had dropped my insurance carrier just recently and I was stuck with a rather high bill. Overall, good place to go for dental work if you are covered. So do ask the office to verify your coverage before treatment.

The most patient, CHILL doctor around when one needs one in his class due to anxiety over the price of implants and the procedure itself. Even better is --he is a medical doctor and can do his own anethesia saving 1000 or more depending on what you get done. I'd recommned my grandmother for him as easily as I'd recommend my daughter and all of you. See everyone else for their opinion and then go to Kris for the work

He's wonderful. I've found him to be kind, gentle, smart, reassuring and self effacing. I've had bone grafts and implants. Implants are not cheap -- $1800 each. Great pain control during and after procedure. If you have to undergo oral surgery.. Dr. Uyehara is a great choice. Chairside assistants are also very nice. Front desk.. not quite as welcoming and accommodating as would be ideal. But if you can get past that you'll be very happy the dr. and with your procedure.

Dr. Uyehara is excellent...a true professional. I am recommending him to everyone I know. I had two extractions, four implants and a bone graft and, not only was there very iittle pain, you couldn't even see where the gums had been cut. It looked perfect. He is also very kind and patient.
