Dr. Rainero pulled a big wisdom tooth. He put the instrument in and pulled out the tooth in 5 seconds. I didnt feel a thing as he numbed the gums so very well. I had an infected gum from a bad root canal by someone else years ago. He explained everything that he was going to do and did. After he pulled the tooth and gave me an antibiotic perscription, he bent over and gave me a gentle short hug. His assistant and front office staff are warm and friendly. He accepts CareCredit which is wonderful as it has a 6 month free interest rate if paid off by then, or up to 60 months to pay a fixed monthly rate. Wonderful! Cant say enough good about him and the rest of his staff there. Highly recommend: 5 Stars.

Dr. Rainero took out 4 of my wisdom teeth in May 2008- it was a great experience (as good as it can be for what it is)! First they gave me laughing gas- and it really did make me laugh. =) The assistant must have thought I was nuts. Then Dr. Rainero gave me the IV- which was painless- that was the part I was most scared about. Then I went to sleep. I woke up just as they pulled my 4th tooth- and I was laughing and said "one down, three to go!!". They laughed and told me I was actually finished. Then I rested/slept it off on a bed/lounge in the recovery room. Although I had 4 pretty simple extractions (all above the gum line) my face didn't swell like a chipmunk and the vicoden was great. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Rainero and his staff to anyone needing dental surgery. I have a PPO and insurance covered most of it- I think the pricing was fairly standard. Front desk staff was really nice. I actually went to Walnut Creek for the extractions and had the follow-up visit in the Alamo office. My holes are healing nicely.

I know this doctor: 2 months

Excellent. Excellent. I can't tell you how long I put off going to an oral surgeon. Dr. Rainero is the best. He pulled a tooth and did an apico with virtually no discomfort. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a skilled oral surgeon.
