Dr Stohle is untrustworthy. He is more interested in money than in his patients' welfare. At a standard visit he pushed an unnecessary surgery for his convenience to pad the bill. When I explained that I could not afford and would prefer to wait and see, as he had originally slipped - was an option, he asked me to remove my insurance card from my wallet, handed it to a staff member, had her go to the front staff to "confirm" that there would be "no additional out-of-pocket" to do the procedure and that it would take 10 additional minutes." After the procedure which he struggled with, I was shuttled to the front desk to "pay before you leave." They asked me to write a check for $350 (about half of the procedure cost, a $500 upsell from the original exam cost.) I asked to speak with the Doctor, because he had just confirmed coverage through insurance and said all but $55 would be covered and pointed to the $55 copay number on my insurance card. After waiting to see if I had to write a check for that much, they returned and explained "the way it works is that you pay us now and the insurance company reimburses you and sends you a check." The result: THEY SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS for $200 and I have permanent scarring in my mouth.

About Front Desk: The front staff were non remarkable. But when it came to calling for their money, they were rude, ruthless and abusive.

Dr. Stohle is excellent. Consider using his twilight anasthesia for extractions. Works. Susan Garland

I had the very unfortunate experience of being a patient of Stohle's. I seeked treatment for upper jaw surgery for a Class III malocclusion, and Stohle ended up botching the surgery. As a result Stohle placed my maxilla in the wrong position, twisting my jaw. My bite did not match up and my septum was deviated. Stohle refused to correct the misplaced jaw after the surgery and I will be having jaw surgery again to correct his mistakes. Please avoid this dentist if you can. There are plenty of more qualified oral surgeons in Chicago. My experience has truly been terrible and meeting him was the worst decision of my life.

Excellent service for wisdom tooth extraction surgery. Gums healed quickly in spite of extreme compaction. Staff was extremely friendly with excellent after care instructions and even called afterwards to follow up. Professional, efficient, and overall great care.

Wonderful doctor and staff. All were very helpful with explaining the procedure, billing and insurance. I traveled 6 hours round trip to have Dr. Stohle remove a tumor from the area between my frontal lower lip and gum and I would do it again.
