She says little to you. And places you in a very awkward position where you are not in the best frame of mind to make decision.
There was a cavity in my tooth, at the back of it. It was painless. She said I needed a root canal. A grunted a yes. After all, what can you do when there are tools in your mouth and you, lights in your eye and being a more than a little apprehensive.
Then before I knew it, I had most of my tooth surface remove and told to get a root canal and a crown, And by the way it will cost $2000. She should have discusses with me my options and even if I could afford such treatment. She should not have dropped this bomb shell after she had done her work and kicked me out of the office.
I am so angry that she destroyed my tooth without telling me what she was going to do. And most of all I am angry with myself that I was so easily taken advantage off.
All I wanted was a filling. I cannot afford more. I have paid $240 and I am no closer to having my tooth fixed.
So this is all I can do. Do not go to this dentist unless you know what you need and what you want.
She does not take the time to explain to you what are your option or even if you can pay for what she want done.

Dr. Kim is one of the brightest, competent dentists in the area. She has impeccable training and is highly professional and has excellent skills as a dentist. I have known Dr. Kim since she was a dental student ( and I was her instructor) and have always been impressed with every facet of her patient care, maturity and demeanor.

Horrible results:( My veneers were the wrong size, fit and color. She ruined my teeth. The worst experience of my life.

I had broken my front two teeth and needed root canals and veneers. Dr. Kim had no reguard for my feelings during the procedure. It was a nightmare. She put temps in which keep falling out because she had filed the teeth underneath too thin. When I told her about this, she said it was my fault and that this was happening because I was messing with my teeth. I had the temps on for 2 weeks longer then what she had said. I thought that once I got the veneers, it would be worth the wait and stress and that they would look awesome. I trusted her.
When my veneers were finally put on, I looked in the mirror and was terrified. They were not only horrible looking, but there was a darkness inbetween my front teeth. I went to lawyer and threated to sue her if she didn't give me my money back. She ended giving me mt money back and I used it to go a great Dentest who gave me great veeners. However, there will always be a shadow between the teeth. Later, I found out that this was because she had actually cut the gum inbetween my two front teeth. Please stay away from her.

Poor service, bad attitude. I got overcharged and humiliated. Definitely a no no.

Dr. Kim was very nice, have not needed major work done yet. Conveniently located in Bethesda, small practice, I believe Dr. Kim is the only dentist.

Very friendly staff!!! Office a bit run-down, but who wants to pay for decor?
