I went to Dr.Petryna to have 4 teeth removed, and the experience was great considering. Dr. Petryna and his staff were so helpful, friendly and professional. They addressed all my concerns and even saw me without an appointment. I would definatly recommend him and his office to a friend. Overall a great experience.

My 44 year old sister was referred to Dr. Petryna for a biopsy of abnormal tissue in her mouth (which started a few weeks prior to her visit and was worsening). Dr. Petryna demonstrated extremely poor customer service/bedside manner. While my sister was bleeding and vomiting in his office, Dr. Petryna became upset that my sister was sent to him, because she had not let her prescribed antibiotics have enough time to work (for supposed sinus infection). He sent her away angrily and told her to come back in 2 weeks (when he was back from vacation). My sister took it upon herself to go to a ENT for assessment the next day who again recommended a biopsy. My sister went back to Dr. Petryna when he returned from vacation to get a biopsy, which he then agreed to perform. The results came back as melanoma. Dr. Petryna again demonstrated very poor customer service, a lack of compassion, and defensiveness about his delay in performing a biopsy. By the time the biopsy was performed, my sister's cancer had already spread to her liver, lung, and lymph nodes. We do not recommend that you utilize Dr. Petryna for care, not only due to his incompetent medical care, but even more so, because of his harsh demeanor and lack of compassion.

Dr. Petryna removed my daughter's four wisdom teeth. She experienced major complications including an "accidental overdose" resulting in a 911 call and trip to the ER, infection, abscess, and hospitalization for three days. All of this in the course of one week. It cost me $10,000 beyond my medical insurance coverage. While any procedure has its' risks, I would seriously recommend having wisdom teeth removed in a hospital setting, especially if all four are being taken out.

He is the most personable dentist. He takes his time to make everyone feel comfortable. My son has had 2 extractions with him as a child and he was never afraid or nervous. They do everything to make them comfortable.

Dr. Petryna is not only the most competent and professional dental care specialist I've ever met, he's also the most pleasant and caring. I recommend him to anyone needing this type of service or treatment--he is the BEST.
