AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Dr Greenberg has a cold indifference to the suffering of others, an odd detachment that comes off as cruel and rather inhuman, If he were a sadist it would be preferable because then at least one of us would have enjoyed ourselves. I came here for what should have been A VERY SIMPLE consult but left with six stitches in my tongue and blood dripping out of my mouth. He told me it would be a simple in/out procedure, I haven't been able to speak or eat without pain all week (and could not go to work). I was referred here by my doctor after he saw a small patch on the side of my tongue (and Dr Greenberg was within my insurance network). I made an appointment for an initial consultation. Dr Greenberg took a quick look and said he could do a biopsy on both sides of my tongue. I asked if it would be something quick and he said yes, "the most difficult part is the insurance". Later, one of his staff came by and said the insurance will cover 85% and I would pay the rest. I agreed, thinking it would be a quick tongue-scraper kind of thing.

The new office is very nice--sunny, cheerful, comfortable. And my experience with the first extraction and implant surgery of my life went very smoothly. Dr. Greenberg is a top professional; I felt no pain at any time; the fees were a bit high but clearly explained. Indeed, when the prosthedontist asked for two posts instead of one and I subsequently complained about the double charge, Dr Greenberg lowered his fee. (The prosthedontist did not.) And when I called a year later to get Dr Greenberg's advice about something, he saw me right away, was attentive and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend this doctor.

He performed oral surgery on an infected tooth that previously had root canal surgery performed long ago by another dentist. He told me he could save the tooth, but it became re-infected shortly after a course of antibiotics. So he performed another oral surgery on the same tooth, again saying he could save it. Unfortunately, the tooth again became re-infected, and I then asked him to just pull the tooth. He charged me for the two failed oral surgeries but not for the extraction. He later performed implant surgery. He was not gentle, and I felt that his work resulted in quite a bit of pain after the Novocain wore off. His assistants are very good, and he seems like a nice person with good credentials. But obviously, from my experience, I won't go back.

He is smart, kind, and did an amazing job on my wisdom teeth extraction. He remembers your name and explains things to you. He is skilled at what he does as he's been doing for 25+ years. I highly recommend him!

I do not recommend him. I cried through the procedure and he wouldn't give me more novicaine, despite my repeated requests.

His work is fine, but I got stuck waiting so long at each visit. He would give me novicane and then leave for half an hour to go to another patient with me twidling my thumbs in the chair. He DID NOT explain my procedure to me at all and did not explain how much my procedure entailed. He also did not explain the cost to me properly. My care was about $1000 more than he told me it would be. He also didn't seem very sympathetic or understanding about pain during the procedure. I was very unhappy with the whole thing.

Dr. Greenberg was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. As horrible as getting my wisdom teeth out was, he made me feel better and was very sweet. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs oral surgery. The receptionist gave me incorrect information a few times, so check with your insurance company confirm what she says is correct.

this is one of the best doctors i've ever had ... thorough, knowledgeable, at the top of his game ... he not only is a dental specialist but he also is an m.d. ... very empathetic, straightforward ... his staff is great -- they always greet me by name and explain what costs are covered by insurance and what ones are not ... bottom line -- this is one of those top-flight professionals that make you grateful for living in new york city ...one big negative -- frankly his office is cramped and shabby, but the equipment is obviously state of the art ... i understand he's in the process of building a new office suite ...
