I was not happy with my experience here. I have had dental surgery before and it has never been like this. They sent me home in severe pain, they should have given me something for the pain before I left. They did give me a prescription for pain meds but when taken to the pharmacy they said the way the script was written it couldn't be filled until the next day. Also they strapped my arms down which I was uncomfortable with. They did not talk me through what they were doing to me, they just started putting in the iv and given me an injection without telling me anything. Most medical staff will tell you exactly what they are doing to your body and explain the procedure and this did not happen. The lady in charge of anesthesia was rude, she seemed ticked off that I told her I have sleep apnea and a blood disorder as if I was deliberately trying to make her job harder. Terrible experience and I will never go back. Oh and just an fyi, when I was asking questions about how long the surgery would take the nurse said not long, doctor carter has been doing this for years and can remove wisdom teeth in 5-8 minutes. Really?!

About Front Desk: Front desk staff was nice enough.

a simple wisdom tooth extraction turned into a nightmare. I have been dealing with complications for a month before I decided to seek another's oral surgeons help. after removal I had to return to this office several times with each time ending in feeling as if I had a rushed appointment, my concerns were not be throughly heard and he did not communicate well when it came to explaining why certain events were happening to me. he never explained to me ahead of time what he was going to do...he just did the procedure quickly while doing the exam...which totally catches one off guard and it always resulted in pain and upset. I wouldn't recommend him for those reasons.

My daughter had four impacted wisdom teeth removed. She is 14. She was strapped to the bed as a "safety precation". Though the osi website states clearly that sutures WILL be placed, and prophylactic antibiotics WILL be given (not "may be given"), neither of these were carried out by Dr Carter in our case, plus he was rude. After 6 days, her pain is still requiring pain meds every 4-6 hours to the point of tears, and swelling is still very significant. I am a healthcare provider, and was shocked that my daughter was sobbing immediately upon waking from the anesthesia, but was told her tears were from the anesthsia. This has not been my experience with any other surgical procedures requiring normal anesthesia/sedation that I have been involved with. I was also shocked that the entire, somewhat complicated, impacted wisdom teeth extraction procedure, from start to discharge, took less than 45 minutes. I have not experienced, nor witnessed, nor heard of from others' experiences, such a seemingly barbaric and rough procedure.. and I have worked in many surgical settings with many different types of surgeons and procedures. I would advise prospective future clients to definitely seek a more compassionate and proactive oral surgeon.

I had no problems with Dr. Carter or his team. His whole team took great care of me. I was quoted a price and had to pay a different amount which sometime happen.

About Front Desk: I received a bill and requested for them to send it to my secondary insurance. Guess that was too much work for them because my need bill came from a collection agency. They should have call or mail me the status of my secondary insurance reply. I left a message to give me a call. No reply.

I only briefly met with Dr. Carter for a consultation to discuss my oral surgery. I had all four wisdom teeth removed in one procedure. He was professional and polite. He did a great job with my surgery and my recovery was very simple. I definitely recommend his services.

About Front Desk: The were quick to the point and "professional", but not very pleasant. No major complaints.

I thought the staff and front desk were very sweet, I was seen as soon as I needed to be, when I had a problem, which was every week from the first of May until end of July. Very painful infections and bone scraping, insensitivity to patients. I believe he tried, but I was very frustrated with the amount of pain I had to go through. I still can't chew without pain and a jaw that cracks and pops when I do, it's been about 3 1/2 to 4 months since I was last seen, I won't go back.

I went in for an implant of my front left tooth. I have been without this tooth since I was 9 years old (from a traumatic injury) and I was in my 30's and very excited to finally be getting a front tooth. I went through many procedures and 2 surgeries for the post that were not at all handled well in my opinion. Mind you, I am not afraid of dentists and went to the dentist often as a child and loved my dentist. When I finally went in to have the implant put in, he said the post was too big and he needed to start all over with a new post. I had told him repeatedly the post felt too big and that my mouth was unusually small for an adult, which he obviously ignored. The implant post had to be removed, with ANOTHER surgery. He said if I wanted to continue with a new implant, it would be at my cost!! I had to pay well over $1800.00 for all the previous procedures and got NOTHING but pain and emotional distress!! Needless to say I NEVER got my implant and it was a HORRIBLE experience. So horrible I have not gotten an implant yet, because I am too afraid. Please do not give this man your business. He does not deserve it.
