I would highly recommend Dr. Woo and his staff to anyone contemplating oral surgery. Dr. Woo has performed both extractions and implants for me and I could not be happier with my experiences. He came highly recommended from my general dentist and I know why. Dental surgery is not my favorite thing, however Dr. Woo and his staff make the experience pain free and provide a level of care that exceeds anything that I was accustomed to before.

I know this doctor: 8 years

Excellent Doctor, extremely expensive, staff lacks any bedside manner. If Dr. Woo hired a new staff I would go back. I went for a total of 4 visits. 1st visit for exrays/exam for wisdom teeth removal took 2 hours! 1 1/2 hrs of waiting to see the doctor and 30 min for the exam. 2nd visit was for surgery. I received a call 1 hr before my surgery to tell me they were running an hour behind and to come in late. I showed up an hour later and waited in the room for the doctor for another 45 minutes. I developed a dry socket and on a sunday (they are closed sat-mon) called because i was in unbearable pain, the on call nurse insisted all i needed was ice and heat. I said I wasnt sure if I could wait until they opened on Tuesday for help. I went to my regular dentist monday for help, and they cleaned and packed the dry socket wich made a huge difference! Tuesday I received a call from Dr. Woo's staff telling me not to come in, that I didnt have an appt for follow up. I explained that I hadn't intended to, I called because I was in unbearable pain after a week still. My two following appts took two hours each and at both I was on the verge of going to the front desk and asking if I had been forgotten. Bottom line, Good Dr terrible staff!

I went to Dr. Woo to have my 4 wisdom teeth removed after being highly recommended by my regular dentist. I only went to Dr. Woo because of the recommendation. Although the surgery went well I am still feeling the disappointment in my choice 7 months later. After speaking with many people about their experience with extraction, I have figured out that there are 2 ways of closing up your extraction holes. 1 is to stitch over the holes and 2 is to do nothing at all which is the route that Dr. Woo takes. I believe this led to my dry sockets and the fact that 7 months later I still have holes in the back of my mouth. The people I have spoken to about their experience that had stitches put over their extraction holes were basically back to normal within a week or so. I would suggest doing a lot of research on how your extraction site is handled before choosing an oral surgeon. Dr. Woo and his staff are very friendly, however seem to be under the impression that their way is the only way to do it and the best way which I disagree with and I really regret going to them for my surgery. Good luck!
