I was referred to Dr Blocher for an extraction. I was worried about my mouth not getting numb. He was wonderful, I didn’t feel a thing . This guy is really good at what he does. Don’t listen to all the bad reviews on this Dr. he is a true professional. Thanks Dr Blocher for a pain fre stress free visit.

He has a cold and deliberate demeanor. It's like I was in an assembly line, he goes from patient to patient, without talking or easing anxiety. Three times, I drove over an hour to receive surgery. Three times, the surgery was cancelled. First time because staff wrote wrong procedure to be done. Second time, while in hospital gown , one half hour before surgery. Blocher canceled because he claims he could not get in hospital system. Staff member told us he only needed to change password to get in. Third time, staff member scheduled too late for surgery and said I would have to have another physical before. I had just had one 30 days before. The staff is frazzled and confused and have to work for an arrogant, spoiled man. From July to now, December and surgery still not done. I will never go to him again.

About Front Desk: Mostly courteous and overworked. I was given a staff member to work with who was completely unqualified and inept.

I know this doctor: Was referred to him in May.

It was terrible. I went there for my first time ever to get my wisdom teeth removed. I had never met him before and was nervous as I'd never had a procedure like this done before. He barely numbed me and I had the IV sedation. Sent me home with Tylenol and no antibiotics which has now lead to a very nasty infection on all 4 impacted teeth. Never again will I ever return and I'm 4 days later with swelling past my eyes. miserable. The staff is very rude and doesn't care about anything. DO NOT GO!!

Wrote a pain prescription for a drug that is unavailable in the state and a dosage that could have been lethal had I actually been able to get it. Pharmacy refused to fill and Dr. Blocher became irate when confronted with the problem and then told me I better hurry up and get back for a different prescription because he was leaving. I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled.

About Front Desk: Front desk staff was rude and made you feel like you were bothering them.

WARNING: Do not under any circumstance go to or send any family members to Brian J. Blocher D.D.S. located at 201 N. Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa Wisconsin. I was unfortunately not so lucky. I was sent to him by my primary dentist to have a tooth removed because he offers sedation and laughing gas. I should have listened to my better judgement when I was told Ron was not allowed in the room. Which didn't make any sense considering there was plenty of room in there, they even had an extra chair. The aide took my xrays then sat me in the chair and put a mask over my nose then she left me in the room alone. I knew something wasn't right, right away. The laughing gas hit me quickly but wore off almost immediately. In that short time a different aide stood in my doorway laughing at me and saying things like 'cereal and mashed potatoes'. No, I'm not kidding. Just to mess with me while the gas was in effect. Now I've had laughing gas before for other dental procedures. It doesn't cause hallucinations, it only relaxes you. You are suppose to use it just before injection to just before extraction. When the aide realized I still was very coherent she laughed and walked away. At this time the original aide came in with the dentist.

About Front Desk: While the dentist (pretended) to read over my chart and paper work I had just filled out, the aide was standing next to me rocking back and forth on her feet. As she was doing this she was stepping on the hose that was attached to my mask. At first I wasn't sure if she realized what she was doing until I looked at her. You know when someone smiles at you as if to say 'how are you doing?'...well that's not what you get at Brian J Blochers DDS office. No this aide looked at me and smiled as if to say 'You have no idea how truly sick I am!' At that moment the dentist turned around pushed my bottom jaw down and ripped my tooth out. Yep, it was that quick! If all of this wasn't bad enough, the pain medication he wrote me a prescription for....I'm highly allergic to and could possibly kill me if I took it. Which was stated very clearly on my paperwork. So, unless you're into pain and having your head messed with while you're sedated....Stay clear of Brian J. Blocher DDS!
