About Front Desk: When I called this Orthodontist which was a referral from our general family dentist... I asked the lady if the office accepted medicade. Explained that my son has dental insurance through his father and medicade from me.. I am disabled and that is why we qualify for medicade. She said they excepted those insurances and I proceeded to make an appointment. I talked to these ladies approx. 3 times. Yesterday, I even talked to a member of the staff to confirm our appointment. Since we get medicade and I am disabled the county provided transportation for us. We live over 2 hours away. So after coordination of transportation and the appointment we were all ready to go today. I got a phone call before 7am informing me that Dr Bell will not file both insurances. If you have a private party insurance he will only file it. Where as everywhere else that accepts medicate will file the private insurance as primary and medicade as secondary. My son needs a procedure that costs $4,000. Our private dental insurance only pays approx. $1,400. I am unable to afford the balance of that procedure... So after all I did to arrange our appointment. They wait until we are about to leave to inform us of this strange and stupid policy. I would not recommend them for this reason.
