We chose Dr. Lou for our daughter's first dentist appointment based on the amazing reviews online as well as a personal recommendation. Our entire experience in making the appointment and with the front office staff was great - no complaints. The waiting room had plenty of games and a TV to entertain the kids and overall it seemed state of the art. The Dental Assistant who received us and started off with us in the exam room was very friendly, explained things well, and my daughter loved her.
THEN Dr. Lou comes in the room - doesn't introduce himself, doesn't even acknowledge me as her mother, doesn't explain what he's going to do in terms that she could understand, nothing. My daughter asked him if he was "Dr Lou", and then he engaged in some weird smart-aleck banter with her... "Do I look like the doctor?" etc and not in a sweet way. His demeanor was entirely inappropriate and he was treating her as if she was 12 years old. I politely reminded him that this was our FIRST dental visit.
He proceeded to try to check out her teeth very aggressively and when my daughter shied away from opening her mouth, he badgered her with comments like "Come on now, I don't have all day" and "I've got to get going". She then started to get up
