I needed to get a tooth pulled and a bone graft. Schwartz said there was no use in getting the bone graft and was unable to explain why. Then, upon reporting for my procedure, I was given a DIFFERENT dentist. That dentist performed a bone graft without telling me what he was doing at all. I was left with an entire black and blue face, after being reassured 5 mins before the procedure that this was a simple extraction and should require almost no recovery time. It took me 2 weeks for the black and blue to go away, and my gums are still swollen 4 weeks afterwards (it's 6 months recovery from this, I hear from other dentists). In short, in spite of numerous calls to the office to explain that I had an infection and needed a bone graft, they refused to listen. If you need to know what is going on with your case before submitting to treatment, if you need to know which dentist is actually going to do the work, and if you want TECHNICAL EXPLANATIONS, don't go to this dentist. This dentist is also extremely expensive, charging well over typical prices for procedures. I believe that for these prices, he should be able to think logically, explain the academic basis for his choices, and listen to his patients.
