I spent over a year with Dr. Thanik undergoing placement of 4 dental implants with removal of primary teeth due to congenital absence of the secondary teeth. I actually kind of enjoyed going to his office. It was fairly relaxing even though the bone grafts I needed after removal of my teeth were fairly painful for about 2 weeks. Placement of the implants themselves was not as painful as the bone grafts. Dr. Thanik was always very kind and explained everything in easy to understand language ( I happen to be a health professional). Appointments ran on time, parking was very easy, the office has a calm and quiet atmosphere, costs were explained up front. He mostly worked well in concert with my dentist although I wish they would have shared imaging studies more frequently so I would not have had them again at my dentist's office. I am very happy with my 4 implants thus far- having them now for 2 months. My dentist placed the crowns over the implants and they are looking and feeling fantastic.
My teeth involved were premolars and I would NOT recommend investing in expensive temporary teeth. I could not eat with them and no one even noticed the gaps in my smile. I ended up not using them at all.
