I went to Dr. Wylie for several years. He was always very pleasant and gentle. The front desk was wonderful -- friendly and good on handling payment and scheduling. I always wondered a little about the hygienist -- although she seemed to do OK, I didn't leave with that squeaky clean feeling. After a few years I changed dentists to find one closer to home. The new dentist suddenly diagnosed a number of problems that Dr. Wylie had never discussed with me, or had downplayed. It's hard for me as a patient to figure out whether Dr. Wylie was overlooking problems, or whether the new dentist was finding problems where they didn't exist in order to drum up more work. My guess is that it's somewhere in between -- I think Dr. Wylie should have been more attentive to problems, but they're probably not as serious as my new dentist would like me to believe.
